A Canister Cow

Good morning! 

This is Bovinia from Plum Street Samplers.. stitched by Chelsea and finished by me ..

The tin canister is from Michael's and I used magnets to attach the stitching and the topper
decoration ..I used magnets in case she stitches something else she wants to use the canister for ..

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 layers of batting ..I also mounted black buffalo check fabric on sticky board and glued the 2 pieces together ..

I cut an oval shape out of sticky board and added the red check fabric .. I added a black check ruffle to the back of the oval ..The Farm Fresh is a wood piece that I spray painted black and then glued on the oval piece .. I made a bow from 2 different black check ribbons added some lambs ear on each side and glued the topper to the bow .. I also added a magnet to the bottom of the piece so that part is removable too ..

Patriotic Chickens!

Good morning! 

Here is Hen Peck from Plum Street Samplers.. my 6th Stitchmaynia finish ! 

I finished this up last week and fully finished it this morning ..

I used a planked white washed box ... from Michaels..so it stands up on its own .. I used washers and magnets so I can switch it out .. I added a bow from 3 different ribbons with a large daisy for the center with a big covered button and a bee button to the side ..

Look at these adorable flowers sent to us by our friend in England ..Rich .. he does sell these so if you are interested click here  He is also the one that makes our fabulous rag garlands ..
I used the blue buffalo check from the kitchen wovens pack from Fat Quarter shop

I used Classic Colorworks in Bamboo.. Bean Sprout ..Black Coffee.. Blue Corn  and Barn Door ..I stitched it on 28 count light grey evenweave that was coffee tea dyed ..

Stitchmaynia week 2

Happy Friday! 

Here are our stitchmaynia starts for week 2!

Day 8 I started Hallowday Inn from With thy needle and Thread 

Day 9 ...Land of Liberty With Thy Needle and Thread

Day 10 on an airplane to Los Angeles ...Ye old Crow.. Heart In Hand

Day 11 Where Liberty Dwells.. Hands on Design 

Day 12 was supposed to be Vintage Christmas from Lori Holt but my fabric was not dark enough ( I redyed it last night ) so I started Rise and Shine in the car on the way to Disneyland .. didn't get much done!

Day 13 My Christmas List  Silver Creek Samplers.. started in Disneyland

Day 14 America .. Blackbird designs also started in Disney 

Day 8 for Chelsea .. a start and finish on 4th of July ..Heart In Hand

Day 9 Farmhouse Christmas ..Little House Needleworks 

Day 10 Merry Christmas ..Heart In Hand 

Day 11 Farm life Little House Needleworks
