This Is Halloween !

Good Morning!

The kitchen chalkboard is all ready for the big day of Halloween!

The yard is full of Jack O Lanterns .. a vintage truck has a pile of pumpkins in the back .. and a witch and ghosts are flying overhead .. Spooky ?

This chalkboard is in a vintage frame I found thrifting and I love changing it out for the seasons and holidays!

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treat!
The chalkboard in the kitchen is all drawn for Halloween! Calvin , Ronnie and Nala all love her !

This is a vintage frame I thrifted and change out for all the seasons and holidays ..

a spooky cute witch .. her cat .. a stack of jacks and a candy corn garland .. what could be more Halloween!

The Halloween Mantel

Good morning!

The mantel is all set for Halloween !

The centerpiece on the mantel is a thrifted frame with a Halloween chalkboard design ..

2 garlands and some Dollar tree spooky cloth .. a Halloween pom pom garland and the DIY book page garland I have used for a few years .. I tried not to use it this year but it didn't seem like Halloween without it :)

The witch legs and the Beware signs are from Dollar Tree last year .I used white and orange lights .. black tulle ribbon .. white sweater pumpkins and crows from the Dollar Tree

I also painted the subway art sign and drew the trick or treat chalkboard that is on the piece of vintage picket fence ..
It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween !

A Jar Full of Jacks!

Good morning!

I loved my Mason Jar chalkboard so much I needed to have it look Halloweenish .. so here it is!

What's better than a vintage blue mason jar filled with jack o Lanterns! Don't you all grow jack o lanterns in your gardens :)

This vintage buffet in my family room is a mix of Fall and Halloween .. most vignettes I have done contain one or the other but this one is both! The tiered tray is oval ..the bottom shelf has a Autumn Rae Dunn platter ..cotton branches and fall leaves.. the middle shelf has vintage chickens in fall colors ..more cotton and a burlap pumpkin .. the top holds a stitched Annie Beez Folkart piece that is mounted on a vintage silver tray..

I always think after I draw a chalkboard that I would love to stitch it ... but this one I NEED to stitch it!

With Thy Needle and Thread October wordplay .. also mounted on a vintage tray ..and it got a homespun ruffle update this year ..Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Halloween Chalkboard

Hello friends!
I am still Halloweening around here, and today the kitchen chalkboard got decorated for Halloween!

I made this chalkboard from a vintage frame from a rummage sale..I got a board cut to fit it and painted it with chalkboard paint.. I change it up pretty much monthly..I think we are on year 4 of this chalkboard..

A big happy jack-o -lantern to great you as you come into the kitchen ..with a garland of small jack -o-lanterns dancing around..

I can't wait to carve the real pumpkins but for now the chalkboard pumpkins will have to do!

It's time to Trick or Treat Chalkboard

Trick or treat!

What do you do when you still L-O-V-E your pumpkin picking day chalkboard?

well of course you "carve" those pumpkins!

So I did carve the pumpkins ...erased the leaves on the pumpkin garland and added candy corn

The chalkboard is made with a thrifted frame.. a board cut to fit the inside and then painted with chalkboard paint.. It changes with the seasons and holidays..

It hangs in between our family room and kitchen and is one of my favorite seasonal decorations!

Chalkboarding my Way Through 2015

Good Morning!
If you have ever read my blog I think you know I am addicted to chalkboards! I love to use them in my house for seasonal decor..
This chalkboard hangs in between our kitchen and family room and it gets changed out for every season.. this was last winters..

This is a thrifted silver tray I painted with chalkboard paint and also change out with the seasons.. It stays on top of the kitchen hutch..

This one is another thrift find ..just a picture frame I painted the inside of with chalkboard paint and it sits in the foyer in this wrought iron tiered basket..

This is a frame from one of those collage picture frames ..that just wasn't a good fit ..so I painted it with chalkboard paint and drew a wreath on it..

I made a boxwood wreath to hang on that collage frame chalkboard and did the Home sweet home smaller
