Pumpkin Farm Fall Mantel

Good morning!
The mantel is all decorated for Fall..
I started with the chalkboard ...and drew a scene from a Fall farm.. look at that cute little vintage truck and barn! Stalks of Indian corn and a huge patch of pretty pumpkins!

I used 2 leaf garlands, a garland I made from leaf shapes cut from book pages, burlap lattice ribbon and cotton branches... I also added in a few sunflowers ..

Sweater pumpkins stacked on blue mason jars sit in between the chalkboard and the lanterns ...

Just a whole lot of cute Fall-ness! This mantel will stay this way until it gets decorated for Halloween at the end of the month....

It's September 11... we will Never Forget ...

Spring Chalkboard on The Spring Mantel

Good morning!
The queens of the house ( Ronnie and Reagan)want you to come in and see the Spring mantel!

The chalkboard on the mantel has been "springed" up :)..

Moss bunnies, tulips and A pedestal plate of mason jars full of eggs are all on display.. A garland of blossoms is laid down in front of the chalkboard.. Loving the bright colors for Spring!

That basket full of dried hydrangeas is from my garden last summer ..Can't wait to be gardening again!

Christmas Vignettes in the Family Room

Happy Wednesday!

Today it's all about the Christmas vignettes in the family room...

On the aqua cabinet sits the oval galvanized tiered tray.. Its filled with putz houses ( vintage and new) mason jars, and bottle brush trees..

\There is a thrift store basket filled with Dept. 56 Santa's ...glittery deer ..a vintage scale and of course stitching!

The sofa table has a vintage window with a pom pom garland...more dept 56 Santa's ..another vintage scale...deer from BHG at Walmart ..and stitching..

Country Cottage Needleworks Silent Night framed in a thrift store frame with a thrift store sweater for the background..

and Lizzie Kate's Christmas ABC and more glittery deer..

on the desk are the Country Cottage Nedleworks December cottage and With THy Needle and Thread December wordplay .. bottle brush trees in painted Mason Jars
are also o display..

I hung this vintage frame and gave it a chalkboard center.. no drawing..I just wanted a smudged chalk background. ..I made the grapevine wreath with flocked and berry picks from Hobby Lobby ..added some cotton branches and a galvanized JOY ornament from Michael's ...

Happy April!

Good Morning Friends!

April by the Prairie Schooler is finished!

Isn't it just the sweetest!

I used the same frame as March Daffodils ..

I also mounted it on the same blue gingham as March ..I had wanted to do green gingham but the blue just looked better !

It's on display in the foyer with Country Cottage Needleworks April cottage.. Cotton branches ..mason jars ..the vintage scale and a pedestal plate..Mini moss bunnies and mini sheep added in for some cuteness!

September's Stitchy Chalkboard

Good Morning!
Happy Saturday !
Here is my September A Year In Chalk by Hands on Design..

I decided to photograph it outside with some of my flowers and a vintage Mason Jar..

Love the cute little jar ! I stitched it on 28 count black Monaco ..it is attached to the frame with a piece of sheet metal on the back of the stitching and a magnet on the black gingham to change it out easily every month. The pedestal frame is from Michael's..Only 3 more months left!

I have been busy getting all my Fall decorating finished and will be back tomorrow with my first post!

Mason Jars and Daffodils

Good morning !

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend with family and friends!

Today I erased my favorite chalkboard so far ..the bunny .. I was sad to see it go ..but Easter is over!

and replaced her with a mason jar full of daffodils..

I got this frame at a garage sale ( very cheap) and had a board cut for it at Home Depot that i painted with chalkboard paint..It hangs on the wall into the kitchen from the family room and gets changed up for the seasons..

Last month I drew this mason jar chalkboard for my daughter

I saw these daffodils this morning in the foyer and that's what gave me the idea for this months chalkboard ..

We made bunny cake pops from brownies and used Easter candy corn for the ears and feet..

The Winter Mantel

Happy weekend !
I am sharing our mantel decorated for winter today ..
I was so excited this week to finally find some cotton branches! I actually wanted the artificial cotton but there is no store around here that has it, and shipping at all the places I found it is outrageous ! So I found 2 branches at Hobby Lobby for $4.95 each ( they were half off) .I have only been looking for cotton since October ..I can't even tell you how many times I have been in Hobby Lobby since then !! I left the white garlands , glittery branches , pine cones and white lights from our Christmas mantel. I added alot of snowflakes and the 2 cotton branches.

I put the clock back up ..and used vintage blue mason jars filled with bottle brush trees and a couple lanterns.

I love how the cotton looks like big lumps of snow. The blue chalkboard is from Hobby Lobby and I just drew a simple snowflake on it. When I saw it I thought it would be perfect for finishing a stitched piece :) I will have to work on that :)

I still have 2 trees up .. this snowman tree and the ice skate tree in the dining room.

The Dining Room..Halloween and Fall

Good Morning ! Hope you have fun plans for your weekend!
I moved some things around in the dining room for Fall and Halloween ..
On the buffet ,I added some real gourds and pumpkins..burlap sunflowers ( they came off the Fall mantel) and the Cinnamon Stars stitchery from Plum Street Samplers. I added a base of fall leaves to the silver pedestal dish and put a pumpkin on top.Love the wire cloche with the gourds and mini pumpkins!

I kept the chicken on the buffet and sat her on a fall wreath.

In the hutch there is a white pumpkin from BHG at Walmart ..On the back of the hutch there are more real mini pumpkins ..some under a cloche and one on top of a big vintage blue mason jar.Country Cottage Needleworks Pumpkin Cottage got moved in here also.

On the table I kept the same vignette ..but added fall leaves around the glitter pumpkin..a real mini pumpkin and the Threadworks Primitive stitching.
