Bunny Love!

 Happy Wednesday!
I finished stitched With Thy Needle and Thread , Easter Parade today and got it all finished up and displayed!
I found this frame at Walmart last Fall.. it is plastic and was gold.. I painted it with black chalkpaint and then white chalkpaint .. it is amazing! It looks vintage but it is definitely not!
I stitched this adorable rabbit and chick on 28 count tea/ coffee dyed Monaco .. I changed a lot of colors and those are all shown above.. I used 3 layers of batting and just sewed it around the backing of the frame .. I added a tan gingham bow to the top with a couple peachy pink tulips draped down .. its adorable !

The Red and Black Flocked tree

Good morning!
I am here to share the big flocked tree in the living room with you today!
The living room has 4 trees and this is the 3 rd one I am sharing .. This year I decorated the tree with lots of black check ribbons and red white check and stripe ribbons.. It has been so hard to get any good photos lately because it has been cloudy... but this is the best I can do right now.. If it gets sunny I will try and add some better photos.. This tree is prelit and from Walmart..

I have lots of silvery and icy looking ornaments .. book page ornaments we made
red berries, and vintage shiny brite ornaments..
I love the mix of all the different patterns of ribbons!

I made a tree topper out of a vintage tray ..and then decided I didn't like it on top..so now it is front and center on the tree..  This tree was bought this year and you can't form the branches .. it does its own thing and I couldn't get the tray to sit right on top.. I have this same tree in my family room but it was bought several years ago so you fluff the branches .. the new one you don't . So anyway I like the tray better in the middle since I couldn't get the branches to lay right around it!
The frosty forest in the vintage window is on display right next to the tree..I have 4 of the glitter houses form Homegoods TJ Maxx under the tree and those are lit with Christmas lights..

The Christmas Home Tour video..

Hope you are all decorated and feeling festive! Thanks so much for all your comments and visits ..I truly appreciate all of you!

Trick or Treat!

Good morning friends!
I had finished stitching this Trick or Treat from Prairie Schooler last year or the year before and I would display it in a wreath.. It wasn't my favorite finish but I loved the stitching!
Then.... I found this Happy Halloween wood sign at Walmart for $4.44 and it is just perfect for the stitching! My husband cut me a board and I painted it black ..He also drilled holes in the top and in the bottom of the sign.. The stitching was already mounted on sticky board , so I added a Halloween homespun fabric mounted to sticky board and then another sticky board covered with black ticking ..all 3 of those got hot glued together..I painted the board with chalkboard paint and then glued the stack of sticky board covered pieces to the top..

He made wire ringlets and attached both pieces together .. I made a bow for the top with black and white check, black check homespun some of the Halloween homespun and burlap..It will hang in the kitchen on the basement door when Halloween decorating gets underway ! Love, love, love it! It's stitched on 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave ..
