Be My Valentine

Good morning!

I asked Calvin to be my valentine yesterday and this was the look I got  :) guess his answer is NO  :)

I changed the floss colors and stitched it on grey 28 count evenweave that was coffee / tea dyed .. I used Classic Colorworks Black Coffee.. 12 Grain .. Steamed Broccoli and Ribbon Red

It only took me a little while to stitch up .. maybe an hour ? I had found this little frame at Michael's earlier this year and knew it would be perfect for this piece . I took the back of the frame and the glass out .. measured the size of the back and cut that size out of sticky board , which I covered in black checks . I mounted the stitching on sticky board and mounted red gingham on sticky board and glued the two pieces together . I added a red polka dot bow with a covered button that is glued to the bottom of the red gingham covered sticky board.. I did use washers and magnets to attach the piece because it is too cute a frame to only use for the short valentine season ..
