What's In My Cup .. Hello Summer!

Good morning! 

What's In My Cup .. Hello Summer is available here in our Etsy shop today! 

A cup full of watermelon .. strawberries and sunflowers with buffalo plaid centers!! 

 To finish Hello Summer I mounted the stitching on sticky board with a layer of batting .. I mounted black gingham on sticky board and then the red and white fabric on a sticky board that was wider so I could add details over the fabric .  I added black check ribbon to each side and then Lori Holt vintage trim on top of the ribbon ..The tool box is from Lela Mae Designs on Facebook ..

 I made a bow for the handle that I used a pipe cleaner to attach with a sunflower on top and a covered button . I used washers and magnets to attach the stitching to the box so it can be used for other designs .. I added greenery to the inside of the box and a few strawberries ..

What’s In My Cup .. Bloom

Good morning!

Look what's In My Cup! Zinnias!

This is the 2nd chart of the Summer What's In MY Cup series! You can get this chart in our Etsy shop here 

The zinnias look so sweet and some of them have buffalo plaid centers! Mine is stitched on 28 count black evenweave ..with Classic Colorworks floss.

The black toolbox is from Lela Mae Designs on Facebook  . I mounted the stitching on sticky board with a layer of batting underneath . I mounted black gingham on sticky board and added Lori Holt vintage trim to the sides . I also mounted green buffalo plaid fabric to sticky board for under the stitching ..

I used washers and magnets to attach the piece so I can reuse the box again! I added a bow from 2 different black check ribbons to which I glued a flower with a covered button in the center and a bee button on top . I made the bow with a pipe cleaner so I could easily remove it .

Crunch 2

Good morning!
This is Crunch #2 stitched by Chelsea and finished by me :)
Crunch is available here in our Etsy shop ..

Chelsea stitched Crunch on blue evenweave that we Rit Dyed and coffee tea dyed ..
I finished it on a paddle from Lela Mae designs 

I mounted it on sticky board with 2 layers of batting underneath , I added orange gingham checks to another sticky board for the backing ..

I made a bow from Bee cute lace  and burlap ribbon then  

added 2 little carrots

Chicken Joy 2

Good morning!
This is Chelsea's Chicken Joy ..our gift chart to all of you ! I stitched mine on black .. Chelsea used grey coffee/ tea dyed ..

I finished Chelsea's on a star pedestal I found at Walmart .. I added plaid fabric to the back with sticky board .. I also used batting under the stitching and attached that to sticky board . I chalk painted a wood snowflake and glued it to the base and added a bow with 2 kinds of ribbon and a white jingle bell .. A few pieces of greenery were also added to the bow ..

On Sunday this beautiful bag will be auctioned off on the Lela Mae designs facebook page to benefit Make A Wish in Patrick's honor .. Kim and Jennifer are amazing to do this for charity and we can't tell you how much we appreciate them! The front has the Chicken Joy stitched and added to this pretty Tree fabric ... The auction starts at noon until 6 pm Sunday  November 10 , 2019 .. so please go over and join the Lela Mae designs facebook page !

Good morning!
This is Boo from the Chalkfull series ..my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design :)
 This one is stitched from the Chalkfull Club from the Fat Quarter Shop ..

Stitched by Kimberly at Fat Quarter , I finished it on the planked pumpkins made by Lela Mae Designs .. I added 2 fabric covered sticky boards.. one in black stripe and the other in orange .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board and then glued all three sticky boards together .

I used 2 different ribbons for the bow and a white velvet pumpkin.. It is super cute and making it's way to Texas right now !

Two Little Witches

Good morning!
It's all about two if the cutest witches today! First up my last Jolly July start .. From Prairie Schooler Witching hour ..this little witch ornament ..

I finished her last week at the retreat .. and finished her up on one of the wood paddles that are sold by Lela Mae Designs .. You can get these paddles on their facebook page ... Also if you are interested in going to their Spring retreat with us .. sign ups start 10 a.m central time Monday September 23  ! 

I mounted her on sticky board with batting underneath .. mounted homespun checks on sticky board .. added striped and check ribbons and a covered button that I cut the fabric out so the cute little cat  was in the middle ..so easy and so cute! She will be an ornament on my Halloween Tree .. I used Classic Colorworks Blackbird and Honeycomb

Next up is Chelsea's cute witch ..This is Spirits and Spells from With Thy Needle and Thread ..I mounted her on sticky board  with batting .. added a  really full  ruffle of stripe Halloween fabrics .. a plaid Halloween bow and a velvet  pumpkin .. 

I finished this same chart last year and here is my finish ..

The frame was from the thrift store and it was gold with a mirror in the center .. Chelsea chalk painted it and left some of the areas of gold in it ..

Stitching Queens of Halloween Retreat!~

Good morning! 

Last Monday Thru Sunday Lela Mae Designs held 2 retreats on Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas .. we were so excited to be invited to teach a finishing class at each session ! Top photo are the first session attendees with their finished pieces 

2nd session with their finished pieces !  They received the Chalkfull Boo before it hit the general public to stitch it up and bring it to finish!

The wooden planked pumpkins are a Lela Mae Designs exclusive that you can also get on their facebook page .. they turned out perfectly for our projects! 

Fun ...Fun... Fun!

Look at all these happy faces! 

we had so much fun ... there were games and activities every night .. it was just plain awesome!
