Fall in the Family Room Hutch

The Craig's list hutch in the family room is all decorated for Fall! 

Fall stitching .. fall garlands .. fall signs and some vintage pieces are all on display!

I've added a touches of aqua and of course some black buffalo plaid 

It is just a wall of happy!

It’s pumpkin picking day!

Good morning!
Yesterday was pumpkin picking day.. so I had to draw a chalkboard for the occasion!

This chalkboard hangs in my kitchen and gets changed out for all the seasons and holidays!

This year there were lots of blue, pink, white  and orange stripey pumpkins

Look at all those beauties.. 115 of them !

The fields weren't muddy so it was easy to pick the pumpkins and there were lots of pumpkins to pick.. last year the mud was like quick sand and we were losing shoes! :) 

It was hot ..so were sweaty and dusty but we love our pumpkin picking days!!

 I love Fall and all the family traditions we have!

Pumpkin Picking 2019

Good morning! 

Saturday was like the Christmas Day of the Fall season because it was pumpkin picking day! Could that Rae Dunn cup be any cuter ?!?

We pick at a farm that you pay by the car load .. they have lots of fancy pumpkins plus the normal jack o lantern orange pumpkins ! Blue pumpkins and white pumpkins are my favorites!

Cash was a big help :)

I ended up with 101 pumpkins this year .. there were no really huge ones because of our weather this year ..

so then at home .. they get lined up  all around the front flower bed ..

we found lots of the crook neck gourds this year ..

We were lucky we even got to go because it has been so rainy ..and this year was the hardest we have ever encountered with mud! We were covered in it .. it was like quicksand in the fields

Some of the blue pumpkins are almost an aqua color ..

Pumpkin Picking 2018

Happy Monday!

We picked pumpkins this weekend and it was HoT! We were all set to go apple picking but then saw on Facebook the pumpkin patch was opeing on Saturday instead of this Wednesday! so change of plans!

 It's a family tradition and every year we fill up our cars!

 The yard supervisor ..making sure that they look perfect :)

 Love these greenish almost teal blue ones! Look at the huge orange stripe!

 They line the front flower beds .. and lots on the porch

 I love to stack them and this year there were lots of flatter round ones

 I don't wash the pumpkins when we get home .. as I water my flowers or it rains it washes the dirt off..

 Love the stripey ornage ones that look like they have lace overlays..

 all these are waiting to get placed in the car ..

 Love all the colored and lumpy pumpkins! There are 100 pumpkins decorating the front yard .. a lot will be carved for Halloween and last year when Halloween was over I placed a Craigslist ad for free pumpkins and a nice family with goats came and picked them all up ..she said she would love them again this year!
