Chickens on a Trivet

 Good morning!
We have a rainy day here .. but we really needed it!  This is Coop from Bent Creek part of the Spring snapper series .. Chelsea stitched it and I finished it on a trivet I found at the Good Will for $1.99.. I broke out the ceramic piece and glued a homespun covered sticky board to the base .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board and added some Lady dot creates ric rac around the edges .. It is adorable!
I am working on Blessed Bee from With Thy Needle and Thread
and also the Queen Bee Flower Farm sign from Chalk on the farm my collaboration with Hands On Design .. I have already stitched this but have an idea in my head for finishing that I really want displayed ..

And there you have it .. the cutest tiny chickens on an awesome chicken trivet ..

Bees, Bees Bees!

Happy Saturday Friends!
I finished Country Cottage Needleworks A Beeline this week and finished it up for display last night..
I found this pedestal chalkboard at Michael's a couple years ago ..It had a Christmas flower on the bottom that I covered with chalkboard paint .. I used magnets and washers to attach to the chalkboard so I can change it out..This was my stitchmaynia start for day 1 .. and my 2nd stitchmaynia finish ..
These are the colors I used ...I changed the bees to standing and also left off the alphabet on the bottom .. I made the flower centers rounded like coneflowers..
It looks so cute with all my bee decorations! Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Buzzy String

 Good morning!
I finished up my Buzzy String from Lizzie Kate this morning.. This was only 2 days of stitching .. so cute and fun  ..
These are all the floss colors I used...
Remember Chelsea stitched the Buzzy String and I finished it for her ? Chelsea's husband had made us these boards to mount them on from some wood planks . We both have quite a few of the Lizzie Kate Strings so we can change these out because I used magnets and sheet metal ..
It is adorable .. I haven't decided where it will go in the house but I can't wait to display it .. For now it is sitting on the dining room table waiting for this weeks flosstube!
I used plaid homespun for the back of mine ... added a twine flower and some ribbon and torn fabric and a bee in the center.. I added it to the top of the homespun so each of the strings I stitch will have a different decoration ...
This was my day 21 Stitchmaynia start ...

Queen Bee Flower Farm!!!

 Good morning!
WooHOO!!!
I am so excited to share the Queen Bee Flower Farm with you! This is the 2nd in the Chalk on the Farm series ..my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design..and it is so
 A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
The chalkboards that were charted for cross stitch by Cathy at Hands on Design ..
Both pieces all stitched up and ready for display
I used the same frame I bought at Hobby Lobby that the first Chalk on the Farm ..Fresh Eggs Farm was mounted on ..Mine is stitched on 28 count black Monaco ..I used magnets on the back of the big piece because there is metal on the frame .. the top I used a magnet glued onto the frame and a metal washer on the back of the stitching ..This piece hangs on the dining room wall right off the kitchen ..
You can preorder these or get on a list at your LNS to get it as soon as they get them .. we are doing a stitchalong with the hashtag #pcQueenBee ..it is a start it when you get it stitchalong ..no start date or end date..
 Look at that cute cow!
Did you see her ?!? Ronnie is there behind the truck
It is so wonderful and I can't wait to see you all stitching it!
Thanks so much for your visit! Hope you love it!

Two Little Bits Of May

 Happy Monday!
I stitched all the Country Cottage Needleworks cottage of the month a couple years ago .. a couple months ago I decided my display of them needed to change ..so I used this #oldandcrusty silver tray to mount them on with magnets and washers..I added some red gingham to the back of the stitched piece and love it so much ..It is all ready for all the patriotic decor that will be going up!

This is Chelsea's Lizzie Kate May .. we had mounted April last month on this little hanging  chalkboard and of course used magnets and sheet metal to switch it out..
The colors of the letters were coral and she changed that to Classic Colorworks Old Blue Jeans ..the green was baby spinach from Gentle arts ... I stitched mine in these colors last year and we both wanted the blue because soon we will be decorating with all our patriotic pieces!

The rest of the design will be revealed this week .. so if you love it get on a list with your shops! They will be getting all the info tomorrow! We are having a stitch along with the hashtag #pcqueenbee ..

Buzzy String

 Good morning!
This is Lizzie Kate's Buzzy String stitched by Chelsea and finished by me ..

We used planks of barn wood from Hobby Lobby .. Chelsea's husband put two planks together and used small pieces of wood on the back to anchor them together.. He also made one for me and one for my youngest son's girlfriend since we all have Lizzie Kate Strings to stitch!
I mounted the stitching on sticky board and used sticky board for some Navy ticking for the back..a bow from burlap ...a covered button and some daisies and it all ready to display for summer ! The stitching part is 1-1/2 inches by 13 .... so tiny! I used magnets and metal washers to attach the stitching to the board so she can stitch the other strings she has.. and a magnet and washer for the covered button ..

Beeeutiful !

 Good morning!
Isn't this just beeutiful? This is Chelsea's first finish this year .. It is from Prairie Schooler Where there are bees chart..Stitched on our 28 count tea/coffee dyed Monaco ..

We found these frames last year at the Goodwill for 99 cents . We didn't paint it it came like this..I mounted some black homespun check onto sticky board for the back .. mounted the stitching on sticky board and then made a bow from cream colored lace and torn black ticking..a little bee button and a couple  little yellow thistles on each side .. adorable!

After our video yesterday , we made 22 baby bibs ..we used flannel for both sides .. Chelsea found the pattern here..

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sunflowers and Bees Project

Hello friends!
I finished stitching this Country Cottage Needleworks Sunflowers In Summer last week and got around to the finishing today!

I mounted it on sticky board ..then mounted a piece of black homespun check for the backing and glued them together.. I used sunflowers from Hobby Lobby and burlap ribbons for the bow. I added some of the homespun for  the bow also.
Oh my gosh I just love it! And I love the fact that I finished it because it was started in 2016 for Stitchmaynia!
My sofa table in the family room is all sunflowers and bees.. perfect for this last month of summer!
and in case you haven't heard my daughter and I did a Youtube video about our stitching.. come check us out and please subscribe!
