Christmas Tree Number One ..Trucks and Trees!

Good morning!

I am starting the tree parade today with this flocked beauty that is a part of the Christmas village.. Who says that dishes can't be ornaments? :)

Last year for Christmas my sister in law ( Hi Doreen) sent me these 4 adorable plates and platter ..I loved them and I didn't want to use them as dishes so they became the inspiration for this tree!

I also added the Rae Dunn look a like ornaments my daughter made me to this tree.. also some aqua balls and plaques are used to decorate the tree..

 I made a new tree topper out of book pages and buffalo check ribbon..

I hot glued a ribbon onto the back of each plate for hanging 

 and a ribbon on each side of the platter to attach to the tree..

 all the ornaments are trucks or campers with trees on top...

 I found the red berry garlands at a church rummage sale this summer and paid 1.00 for a whole box ..there are more I used on our big tree and the garland on the stairs.. for $1.00!

There are some big balls covered with thrift store sweaters..and some white snowball looking garland on this pretty flocked tree!

Rae Dunn Look Alike Ornaments

Look at all these beauties!

My daughter Chelsea and I are Rae Dunn mug collectors,, more hunting for them than collecting! Her pieces are hard to find ! Chelsea saw these on a Cricut board on Facebook and knew she could make them ..

 So we got 2 boxes each of white ball ornaments.. she used her Cricut to cut vinyl letters and then adhered them  to each ornament.. the font is called The Skinny on Dafont.com

 Look how cute they are ! Can't wait to show you this tree they are on!

Winter subway art table runner

Thank you for visiting today ! We had a very busy Holiday season.. Christmas , New years , 2 of my kids birthdays , and our wedding anniversary..Seems like it all went by way too fast ! All of the Christmas is down and put away except for the 2 trees I keep up until the end of January. I started at 6 am and was finished by 1:00pm .. Does not take long at all to put away !The boys and husband put it all in the crawl space..
 I had to make another table runner for the winter .. I used dark aqua, light aqua, silver and white paints. I used osnaburg again for the base , today I had to go to Joann fabrics to get some fabric for the ruffles.. I didn't have any aqua fabrics.

 Some progress photos.. Like the Christmas one I made I stamped snowflakes lightly in the background using the silver and white paint

 I got this tray at Goodwill the house was a gift last year from my daughter, and I just added snowflakes and mini ornaments ..

 This house sits on a tray in the family room on the coffee table. Not ready to give up all the decorations yet ! I still have the ice skate tree and snowman tree up and they will stay up until the end on January.

 I have gotten some stitching done...2 prairie schooler santas and a 3rd one about 1/2 done.. a Little house needleworks ornament..and the snowman ornament..

 The mantel is decorated for winter.. I used a glittery house, some lanterns, snowy garland , snowy trees and ice skates..

Crocheted ornaments

I was surprised this year when I was decorating our main Family tree by all the crocheted ornaments .. Some I remember making and others I don't ! They are all OLD :) I remeber making this loopy tree.. its stuffed and has sequins on it.

This elf is made from panty hose and then wears a crocheted scarf and hat.. I made these and sold alot of them ! He is really ugly :)

I don't remember making this little stocking.

I do remember making this ball ornament . It was covered in flowers that were just pinned in the styrafoam ball. I should have glued them on because most of them have fallen off !

I don't remember  making this little angel..

or this little tree.. but they are both cute !

I remember making the santa
