Merry and Bright Wreath

Good morning and Happy Sunday!
Can you stand this cuteness?
I started this Merry and Bright last year for Stitchmaynia.. and I finished stitching it this year a couple months ago .. I had seen this truck online and could not find it at any of our local Walmart stores ..But when I was in Florida .. there they were! I got 2 one for Chelsea too.. and had my husband break in half the yard stakes they were on (so I could get them in my suitcase :)

The Classic Colorworks floss  I used ..

***Please remember if you copy my finishing ideas that you be considerate and give a link to my blog or facebook page..****
I mounted the stitching on sticky board and also covered another piece of sticky board with red gingham . I used a wreath  had , and added some flocked picks and a jingle bell garland and also the perfect plaid ribbon for accents .. I glued the truck to the wreath .. and glued the stick from the stake to the back to attach the stitching .. To raise the stitching up I used 2 thread spools and it worked perfect ! It is hanging on my vintage window in the family room and it is just too cute!~
Thanks so much for your visit!

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

 Good morning!
Can you stand the cuteness? Oh my gosh I love it!
This is Country Cottage Needleworks The Most Wonderful Time Of the Year .. I changed the colors of floss..I used Classic Colorworks Cherry Cobbler, brown sugar , and spinach .. I use the Hickory sticks and the white dmc.. I had found this sign at Walmart so I wanted the colors to blend with it instead of the brighter red and green that was called for..
I mounted the stitching and also some red/ black homespun to pieces of sticky board .. I added homespun black check fabric covered foam core in 2 strips to the back to attach the truck and the stitching,.. I wired the whole thing onto a evergreen wreath .. I cut apart one big flocked pic from Hobby Lobby
and glued it all around the wreath .. it included the flocked pine cones and the black snow covered berries.. I added the 2 vintage gingerbread men cookie cutters ( that were used when I was a kid)and also 2 bows made from the homespun and buffalo check ..
This will hang in my kitchen on the basement door for the Christmas season.. Love how it turned out!

Dollar Tree Santa Wreath

Good morning!
About a month ago I found this Vintage looking Santa ( wooden board ) at the Dollar Tree for you guessed it $1.00 ! I couldn't decide where to put it so it became a very inexpensive wreath!
Remember last year I made this wreath from a Dollar Tree sign?  The reindeer wreath hangs in my downstairs powder room..

I purchased 2 flocked -pine cone-berry picks (50% off) so there  is one on each side ..from Hobby Lobby and the grapevine wreath .. I also used one faux cotton branch split into two parts( You know I love my cotton branches!).I didn't glue any of it in so I can change it out if I decide to in the future.. The ribbon is from Michael's at 70% off! Right now its hanging in the family room on the garage door.. and I love it! It took about 15 minutes from start to finish!

Dollar Tree Glittery Deer Wreath DIY

 Happy Friday!
I was in Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago to get some MORE Christmas balls.. and saw this cute vintagy.. glittery ..adorable deer sign for $1.00 ..So I knew it had to come home with me..for $1.00 :)
I decided to make it inot a wreath for my downstairs powder room..I hang a wreath on the window in there and it is painted an aqua color..perfect!
I used a grapevine wreath I already had.. you can see hot glue marks where it had been used before and I ripped all the stuff off and kept the wreath.. when they get faded don't toss thgem just rip it all off and add new :) I glued the ribbon hanger to the top of the wreath and tacked the sign to the wreath on the corners with hot glue. I had a evergreen piece that gets skinny on both ends... I know it came from Michaels a long time ago.. so I used that and 2 flocked sprigs on each side 70 % off at michaels ..so they were about 45 cents each .. Then I made a bow out of the leftover ribbon from doing my trees...a red gingham and a red plaid..
Isn't it the cutest ..?.. and by using things I already had.. It cost about $3.00! and just an FYI the wreath isn't crooked my picture is!

Flocked Wreaths in The Living Room

 Good morning !
I wasn't loving the wreaths I usually hang in the living room windows..So I went to Hobby Lobby..
I saw this fabulous burlap ribbon with rusty jingle bells and knew that was coming home with me.. Don't you love it ?!? I think I need to go back and get one more spool :)
I used snowflake printed burlap I had bought last year at Michaels to hang them..
At Hobby Lobby I found these evergreen flocked floral picks with pinecones they were huge so I bought 3 one for each wreath and just bent the stems around the wreaths.
I hot glued the burlap bows on ..It was so funny that day because I bought the flocked picks and that same day my husband brought me home a new flocked tree..We needed a new tree and I had said I wanted a white one, but he got the flocked tree which is amazing ! I will be back next week to start  showing you all the trees ! Thanks so much for stopping by !

Anthropologie Inspired Wreath

Today I am sharing my Anthropologie Inspired pompon wreath ..I neede a wreath for the door to the basement that is in our kitchen .. It needed some dressing up..

I used a Styrofoam wreath form..and red heart cream colored yarn ..
I used one whole large size of the red heart yarn ..I cut a square of cardboard and wrapped the yarn around to make the pompons.
Tied in the middle and then cut the loops ..and trim to make them round.
I hot glued 3 rows, one on the very top, one in the inside and a row on the outside.

I looped the ribbon around the top and we just stapled it to the top of the door.

Isn't it just the cutest !

Hope your Christmas preparations are going smoothly , We are still trying to finish our shopping !Thanks so much for stopping by !
