Let it Snow!

Hey! hey! It's Monday!
The kitchen chalkboard is all snowed in !

Snowflakes.. a cute snowman ..and chickens wearing scarves with a banner .. what could be better for Winter!

There are those 2 professional cross stitch models.. trying to get into chalkboard modeling :)

This chalkboard hangs in the entry to my kitchen from the family room and gets changed up for the seasons ...

It is a vintage frame I had a board cut to fit and painted it with chalkboard paint ..

The Ice Skate Tree and The Dining Room

Good morning!

Today we are in the dining room .. the dining room is where the ice skate tree is displayed .. it is a flocked skinny 6 foot tree from Walmart .. 

 It sits on a wood crate to make it taller ..

 The topper is a plaid ribbon bow and also a pair of decorative felt skates ..that I added a wrapping paper tube between them with hot glue so then I slip the top of the tree thru the tube ..

 Under the tree are a collection of decorative and real ice skates and a cute snowgirl with her skates on ..The Let it Snow Bungalow.. my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands on Design from the Chalk for the Home series hangs on the wall

 those same plaid ribbons are woven thru the tree..

 the topper

 lots of different skate ornaments have been collected since I was a child ..

 and the skater in the photo is me :)

 the view of the tree from the kitchen ..

 there is a magnolia garland over the window and a book page wreath hanging in the window..

 on the server is a little greenery box with a couple Santa's and a bunch of Fitz and Floyd reindeer frolicking ..

 the stitching is a free design from Plum Street Samplers and it was on Paulette's blog a few years ago ..
Chelsea made me the JOY letters from vinyl on her Cricut and we put them on the back of this Rae Dunn canister ..on the front it says HOP ..

there is a 3 foot tree in a basket .. it doesn't count towards the 13 trees .. it has house ornaments .. silver greenery and red stripe ticking fabric torn in strips ..

 the table runner is a vintage crocheted tablecloth with a piece of buffalo plaid fabric on top .. easy and cheap :)

 The back of the buffet has this Lizzie Kate Merry String .. a Fitz and Floyd Santa ..

I found these 2 vintage Santa's at the good will last week .. they are really cute and were extremely cheap! the house lantern is from Walmart ..and there you have a glimpse of all the Christmas in the dining room!

Today is all about the ice skate tree and the dining room..

The tree is a 6 foot flocked tree from Walmart.. every ornament on the tree is an ice skate or ice skater..

A pair of felt skates is the tree topper.. red and black plaid ribbons are woven through the tree..

A big flocked garland hangs on the hutch ,, the hutch is filled with Fitz and Floyd ..mason jars.. and white dishes..

There is a 3 foot tree in the basket on the buffet .. its filled with little house ornaments.. surrounded by a cotton wreath and 2 cute geese under the tree..

Lots of Fitz and Floyd is on display.. The table is set with a quilt for a tablecloth .. the dishes are from the Better Homes and Gardens line at Walmart..Click below for the Christmas Home Tour..

The Ice Skate Tree in The Dining Room

Good morning!

Today's post is about the ice skate tree in the dining room..

Last year I got this flocked tree at Walmart to replace one of the skinny trees we had.. I also found this plaid ribbon last year and used it again this year! 

The tree is filled with ice skate and skater ornaments ..a snowflake garland..white lights and the plaid ribbons..

It sits on a wood crate surrounded by real and decorative skates ..with a basket for a tree skirt

There is a lot of Fitz and Floyd in the dining room...a mini tree filled with mini Hallmark ornaments..

 some glittery houses..those Fitz and Floyd reindeer I got at a San Diego flea market..

love all the white soup tureens on top of the dining room hutch with the flocked garland..

The Seasons in Chalk hangs on the dining room wall..

A 3 foot tree( not included in my 13 trees) has red ticking for a garland , pine cones, little house ornaments, a galvanized star .. The Plum Street Samplers Merry Brew found a home here in the dining room.. More Fitz and Floyd and Dept. 56 Santa's .. 

The book page wreath hangs here here year round ..it is definitely one of my favorite things!

Christmas In The Dining Room 2015

 Good Morning!
Come on in !
Let's visit the dining room today!

 I love decorating the black hutch for the holidays.. I have quite a collection of Fitz and Floyd and most of it is here in the dining room..I have a beautiful flocked garland over the top of the hutch ..sitting behind the garland are a collection of soup tureens..

The top of the hutch has some red white transferware dishes along with Fitz and Floyd Santa's..

 The cute little deer salt and pepper shakers from BHG at Walmart ..

 The ice skate tree is in the corner of the dining room..The table is filled with Dept. 56 Santa's..a little feather tree with mini Hallmark ornaments..book page trees, and a putz like house sitting on a pedestal plate in a burlap wreath..

The new stitched chalkboard from Seasons in Chalk hangs here on the dining room wall.. There is a 3 foot tree in a basket on the server.. gingham ribbon , pine cones, and silvery branches decorate it ..with white lights and a galvanized star on top..

 A big Fitz and Floyd Santa on the server with a Dept. 56 Santa in a glass cloche..A DIY bookpage wreath hangs in the window.. one of my favorite decorations!
