Spring in the Dining Room 2015

It's time for a little spring in the dining room!
I started by making my chicken soup tureen into the centerpiece..Its sitting on a white pedestal plate , on top of a burlap wreath with dried hydrangeas ( from my garden) tulips and a stand of little blossoms. It is all sitting on a quilt that was made by my grandmother with a daffodil design..

The Fitz and Floyd bunny platter I got at the Goodwill last fall for $1.99 is in the background..A moss bunny vignette in an iron basket ..

The top of the hutch has 3 thrifted soup tureens .. and inside the hutch is filled with white dishes from an estate sale. .

Both sides of the china cabinet will be getting plate displays.. I have found these rooster plates( the top one from Homegoods in California and the bottom one at our Homegoods here..) ..I have 2 of each for both sides of the china cabinet ..I am on the hunt for some white plates with alot of detail to join them ..

The sunrise on Sunday ...today is foggy but supposed to get to 50 degrees .. the snow is melting and I am so ready to work in the yard!

Dining Room Vignettes

I changed around some of the spring vignettes in the dining room so I thought I would share that with you today ..

I am still loving this moss bunny from Hobby Lobby , I went back to get another and to try and find one for my sister in law but they were all gone at 3 different stores ! I switched all the things on the buffet to the hutch .. I wanted the blue elements to be behind the table so when you look in the dining room from the kitchen the blue is showing..

My daughter got me this soup tureen at an estate sale in her neighborhood for $7.50 ! I have been wanting to find one and I couldn't believe the bargain !

On the table is a chicken wire basket filled with green moss, and the resin bunnies ( from Hobby Lobby) a burlap bow and a nest on top of a thrift store pedestal plate.

I added the Fitz and Floyd spring pig tea pot to the hutch too.. He has spring vegetables all around the bottom ..He is probably 15 or more years old..The white platter was on clearance at TJ Maxx for $10.00 , it was a gift from my sweet daughter.

This is the buffet now, with all the roosters..

Spring In The Dining Room

Good Morning ! Another snowy day here in the Chicago suburbs.. but its springtime in my dining room !

I love this vignette on the dining room table.. I used a burlap wreath with dried hydrangeas and tulips, a cream colored pedestal plate,a thrifted pedestal bowl filled with green moss and a bird.. topped off with a glass cloche.. and a egg filled nest on the wreath.

On the buffet I have a couple spring vignettes..love the moss bunny in the metal cloche.. got him at Hobby Lobby. More dried hydrangeas , a vintage Ball jar , and a egg filled nest on a silver tray.

Thrifted aqua dishes ( love them !)a bird and some greenery in the wrought iron basket. I also added one of the rolled book page roses to the basket.

The spring book page wreath hangs in the window.

This is what the dining room looked like last year at this time! We still need window treatments, but I don't want to cover up the pretty window molding !
