Harvest Chalkfull 3

Good morning!
This is Harvest Chalkfull .. my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design .. and this is my 3rd finish of Harvest ! This one is stitched by Robin .. one of our You Tube subscribers that won a finishing! She mailed me her finished piece and I set  to finishing it

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with batting underneath and then mounted golden yellow checks on sticky board and black checks on sticky board for behind the stitched piece .. I made a bow from 2 different black ribbons .. checks and stripes and added a big sunflower .. It is attached to the enamel piece with magnets and washers so the rest of the series can be added to the enamel piece ..Hope Robin loves it!

Chalkfull.. Hip Hop !

Good morning! Look!

I am so excited to share the next Chalkfull Jar! Hip Hop! 

 This is my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design  .. 

This is #5 in a series of 7 ..

The chalkboard that hung in my home last spring .. a jar full of bunnies and carrots ! 

I used the same enamel  finishing pieces I have used for all of the designs..

I mounted the stitching on sticky board and mounted black buffalo check on sticky board .. and glued the two pieces together ..I made a bow from aqua check ribbon and black and white check ribbon ..I found the bunny at Hobby Lobby and added an aqua check covered button to his tie.. 

For the small design .. I used the same enamel bucket .. cut my sticky board in an oval shape .. I added 2 layers of batting underneath the stitching ..A black and white buffalo check ruffle was added around the back ..I then gathered orange gingham ribbon and twisted it while attaching to the piece ..The little chalkboard bunny was from Target several years ago ..

This is Cathy's and the cover for the chart ..They ship to shops next week so get ready to stitch some adorable bunnies!

America Jar

Good morning! 

This is the chalkboard that hangs above my vintage buffet in the family room ... this frame is very old and was from a flea market ..

there have been many Ball jars drawn on this chalkboard but this is the first one with flags ... and I just love it ..

there is also a tiered tray on the buffet ...vintage scale and of course some cross stitch ..the piece in the top of the tray is from Threadworks Primitives .. Beggar's 4th..   Basketfull of Summer  With Thy Needle and Thread ..Holiday Hoopla ..With Thy Needle and Thread

The Mason Jars are Here!

Happy Saturday! 

This is such an exciting day! The chalkboard Mason Jars  are here! All the time I get requests for the jars to become charts and so it begins!

First up is the Harvest Jar ..they come with 2 charts .. the jar and a small .. and so far 7 in the series ..

The series is called ChalkFull and I got to draw the logo :) This is a chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design .. This is the 5th series .. and series 4 is still ongoing .. Farmhouse Chalk .. and just wait until you see that ! Oh my gosh it's amazing!
Cathy does a great job making the chalkboards come to life as stitched pieces!

I bought the enamel sign   at  Hobby Lobby ( in the enamel section) for the jar and the enamel bucket ( in the spring shop)for the small also came from Hobby Lobby .. ..
I mounted the jar stitching on sticky board.. and then covered another sticky board in big black gingham checks .. I glued the two of them together and used magnets on the back to attach to the enamel sign.. I made a bow with black gingham ribbon and added a sunflower and a magnet on the back . Super simple finishing but I love it!

For the small I cut an oval piece of sticky board .. then layered 2 layers of batting .. under the stitching .. I added 2 torn black check ruffles of different sizes and a piece of green gingham that I knotted for texture every inch and half or so .. 4 little sunflowers are glued to the ruffles ..

You will love stitching these .. I cannot even express to you how much I love them

Liberty Jar is the retreat piece for the Midwest Cross Stitch retreat that is taking place this weekend in Minnesota  .. the attendees have been stitching this since February but were not allowed to show it on social media until this weekend so everyone would be surprised! Are you surprised ? :)

This one won't be out until next Spring so it's exclusive to the retreat attendees until then ..

A Jar full of Snowy !

Happy Sunday !

The mason jar chalkboard is now filled up with snowmen!  We actually got a couple inches of snow last night .. we haven't had very much at all this winter!

This chalkboard is in my family room and hangs over the vintage buffet.. It's a very vintage frame that I had a board cut to fit..and then painted with chalkboard paint .. my oval galvanized tiered tray sits on the buffet full of vintage and newer putz type houses.. I leave my winter decor up until sometime in February when I transition to spring!

Jolly Happy Soul from With Thy needle and thread also sits on the buffet ..

Red White and Blue in a Mason Jar

 Good morning!
I changed out the tulips for red and white stripe flowers... and it is amazing!

 This chalkboard is in a vintage frame in the family room over a vintage buffet .. for the Spring it was full of tulips and now it is all red, white and blue!

 On the buffet I also have another galvanized tiered tray .. this one is oval .. Lots of patriotic goodies are on display ..and of course lots of stitching!

Pumpkin Farm Fall Mantel

Good morning!
The mantel is all decorated for Fall..
I started with the chalkboard ...and drew a scene from a Fall farm.. look at that cute little vintage truck and barn! Stalks of Indian corn and a huge patch of pretty pumpkins!

I used 2 leaf garlands, a garland I made from leaf shapes cut from book pages, burlap lattice ribbon and cotton branches... I also added in a few sunflowers ..

Sweater pumpkins stacked on blue mason jars sit in between the chalkboard and the lanterns ...

Just a whole lot of cute Fall-ness! This mantel will stay this way until it gets decorated for Halloween at the end of the month....

Red,White & Blue Galvanized Tiered Tray

 Good Morning!
With Memorial Day weekend it's time to get out all the Red White and Blue..

 The galvanized tiered tray in my kitchen ( from Sam's Club a couple years ago) .. got decorated with painted mason jars full of flags, red gingham, daisies, chickens and a cow creamer.. transferware in red and blue, a little stitched piece .. and some America stitched little pillows.

I always love this time of year .. the official start to summer ..

 Daisies and flags are made for each other!

On the other counter is another stitrched piece on top of a vintage scale.. Lots of thrift store items over there :)

Hope you get time to spend with family and friends today ...and remember all those who serve and have served our country!
