2015 in Wreaths..

 Good morning!
I made a few wreaths in 2015 and here they are ..This one was made so simply with a garland and a grapevine wreath both from Hobby Lobby..
This Monogram wreath was also super easy ..

I made this boxwood wreath from cuttings from our bushes  ..
I added a spring cross stitch to this grapevine wreath ..
and the same wreath with a summer stitched piece..
I made another boxwood wreath and stuck it in this bowl on a vintage scale..
I redid my daisy wreath ..

An Autumn cross stitch piece was added to that same grapevine wreath from Spring and Summer..

The burlap wreath in the kitchen got a fall addition..
A Halloween cross stitch is on display in this grapevine wreath

The burlap wreath in the kitchen got a chalkboard ribbon and ornament addition for Christmas
I redid the wreaths that hang in the kitchen at Christmas .. They had sparkly apples and berries on them and I took those off and redid them with faux cotton branches..

I made this wreath with a One dollar sign from the Dollar Tree
For the front door I made this Joy sign with a wreath for the O ..and that is a tour of all this years wreaths! All the colored links are clickable!

Thanks so much for taking the tour ! All the colored links are clickable to see more..

DIY Spring Wreaths

 Good morning !
A couple wreaths got made last week for my daughters house and they were very easy !
The tulip wreath used an oval grapevine wreath , 3 bunches of tulips from Michael's, a bow made from burlap and a wood letter..3 big leaves I took off some sunflower stems I had and hot glue..

I started by gluing the 3 leaves on .. I then added the 3 bunches of tulips ..stacking them. I stuck the stems into the wreath and then hot glued them in.. glued down the bow on top of the stems ,and added the wood letter we painted white..it took about 10 minutes .. Just lay it on your wreath and glue..

This wreath we used a grapevine wreath my daughter had gotten at a rummage sale for 25 cents and attached a garland from Hobby Lobby using pipe cleaners so she could take it off if she didn't like the wreath anymore..They were selling a wreath just like this at Hobby Lobby for $79.00 ..The garland was $20 with 50% off.
Remember the tulip wreaths we made last year ?

Aren't they both pretty and springy?

It hangs inside her house on the back door.. The other wispy wreath hangs on a gate on the wall in her family room

DIY Spring Tulip Wreath

Since yesterday was the first day of spring it was time to put a little spring on the front porch !
My daughter and I made 2 of these tulip wreaths yesterday , mine is the pink..  hers is the peach..
We got these little tulip bunches at Michaels.. they are 50 % off right now so they are $1.99 each.
We used grapevine wreaths and some wire we had in the garage and just wired the bunches on tightly ..It was so easy ( except for when I got the wire all tangled !) They take about 15-20 minutes each. I cut a long strip of the white burlap fabric to use for a bow to hang them. I just looped the burlap around the wreath and tied a bow at the top..

They turned out so pretty !

We still have quite a bit of snow in the front yard , but it is going to be 55 degrees today so maybe it will all be gone ! Have a wonderful weekend!

Burlap spring wreath

Good Monday morning ! I had such an exciting weekend , I can't wait to tell you about it !
But first I made this wreath last week...I wanted to make a burlap wreath and use some of the black /white check burlap ribbon in it. I went to Hobby Lobby and they have decomesh that looks like burlap, so fun  ! So that made the choice easy !
This time I used a straw wreath for the base , I left the plastic on since it will be outside.
Don't you love that black/ white check burlap ribbon ? I sure do !
I gathered the decomesh and used florist pins to secure the mesh to the wreath , then added a blop of hot glue over each pin for security .
This is the wreath with just the mesh and burlap ribbon
I added daisies that I cut down the stems to about 4 inches and glued them in.

Here it is on the front door..I am going to make a pillow for the chair that sits on the porch in black and white this week.. Haven't decided how , but I think I might try painting black and white checks, or do a little subway art in black and white!

Ok, now for our exciting weekend .. We drove down to Kentucky for the Spring blue and white game.. Our son is a walk on freshman Kicker/punter.. He told us he was dressing but wasn't sure if he would play ..
He got to kick 3 extra points ( made them ) 2 field goals ( made one , went wide right on the other ) and punted once.. His team won 24-23 ...
Seeing him up there on the huge scoreboard ...AMAZING ! He is # 90 in the back waiting to kick
It was so exciting for all of us .. The stadium was packed ! They had over 50,000 people there !!!

Thanks so much for stopping by ! Hope you all have a great week !
As always thank you so much for your nice comments !
