Spring Kitchen Hutch

Happy Sunday friends!!

The kitchen hutch is all  decorated  for Spring!

I am loving all the bright colors in the hutch .. it makes the kitchen look so happy!

There is that bunny birdhouse .. I don't do birdhouses .. I don't do birdhouses!! :)

Remember I found this hutch last winter through Craig's List and Chelsea chalk painted it for me ! It is the perfect hutch for all my Rae Dunn!

Up on top is a carrot patch sign from Hobby Lobby ,, a cotton garland and a black buffalo plaid rag garland along with the bunny and carrot garland are all on display...

The fence like mug rack was from Michael's last year .. The cottontail sign is from Hobby Lobby.

Fall in the Kitchen Hutch

Happy Monday! 

The hutch in the kitchen is all dressed up for Fall! If you remember I found this hutch on Craig's list last winter so this is it's first go round with Fall decor!

I love the open hutch for displaying my Rae Dunn collection !

It is also the perfect spot for our Fall What's In My Cup series!

The top of the hutch has 3 garlands .. A Fall gourd and sunflower garland .. black buffalo plaid rag garland and a cotton branch garland . The sign on top is from Hobby Lobby .

Yes! Pumpkin everything! I don't like pumpkin for eating .. but decorate everything with pumpkins! That's a sweater pumpkin in the cup and you can see more about that here

I found the mug rack at Michael's on clearance .. I need to get it more securely attached to the wall before I finish filling it up and adding something to the top .. but even though it's not finished I love it!

Quaker Flag #2

Good morning!
This is Quaker Flag from the Stitcherhood ..This one was stitched by Kimberly at The Fat Quarter Shop and finished by me ..

I previously stitched this chart and this was my finish ...Quaker Flag 

 The wood United States piece was painted with chalky paint in picket fence ..

I used 2 layers of sticky board covered with gingham fabric .. The stitching was mounted on sticky board with 2 layers of batting .. I added a patriotic bow with a wood star and a covered button in the middle ..

A Little More Fall in the Hutch

Good morning!

When I put all the Halloween decor out .. I kept some areas for just Fall and the hutch in the family room is one of those places.. I found this hutch on Craigslist last year and chalk painted it linen white.. it was hunter green ..

 I took out the sunflower stitches and added a few other Fall pieces in ..

 The Halloween from Seasons in Chalk art from Just Cross Stitch magazine ( my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands on Design ) hangs on the wall next to the hutch ..

 I am loving the hutch with all the Fall stitching ..and can't wait to decorate it for Christmas in a couple weeks! On the  door is Prairie Schooler Trick or Treat

Summer ABC'S

Good morning!
Summer ABC'S from Little House Needleworks is all finished and on display! I finished stitching it last week and finally got around to finishing it yesterday .. I had to paint the shutter ..it just did not look good in the brownish color with the red, black and yellow..so I chalk painted it yesterday with linen white and sanded the edges a little ..It looks amazing!

I mounted the stitching on sticky board .. I  have to put 2 pieces together because it does not come long enough ..

I used black gingham on another piece of sticky board ..I add ribbon ties and tie it to the shutter for changing out the seasons .. There is a magnet at the top to change out the bows ..

These are the colors I used .. I did switch a lot and switched a couple words..

I love it and love it on the vintage shutter in my kitchen ..

Sunflowers and Bees in the hutch

 Hello friends!
The hutch is all filled with sunflowers and bees ..( and lots of chickens) :) I found this hutch on Craigslist last October .. It was Hunter green and I chalk painted it ..
