It's An Easter Parade!

Good morning!

I was lucky enough to borrow this chart from one of my stitchy friends on Instagram .. Easter Parade by Blackbird Designs ..It is really hard to find and expensive if you can find it! It stitched up pretty quick and I finished it into a thrift store frame ($1.99)that I chalk painted.
I used the same rose gingham I used for the Easter peep.. I just wrapped the fabric around the board that was in the back of the frame and glued it. I mounted the stitching on needlework sticky board and glued that to the rose gingham board. I found this aqua burlap ribbon at Michael's and made a bow and also glued it all the way around the frame.
It's on display in the dining room.. with a Fitz and Floyd bunny tea pot in a chicken wire basket.
I changed out the dark rose color of the pack on his back , one of the star shapes and also the border.. For the pack I used Gentle Arts tropical ocean and gentle arts avocado for the border.. it is stitched on 28 count tea/coffee dyed evenweave.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Spring Has Sprung In The Galvanized Tiered Tray

 Good morning!
I couldn't stick with winter any longer ... all the Spring is coming out! Our weather here in the Chicago area has been so weird this winter.. everyone else has been getting snow but not us .. today it will be 60 degrees in February and 50's and 60's into next week! We have had lots of the cloudy dreary days though..not liking that!
I loved just replacing the Winter Seasons In Chalk with the Spring .. Hope all my stitchy friends are ready for the next chalk design .. It is amazing! Only a couple more weeks until its out!
You all know how much I love this galvanized tiered tray overflowing with goodies of each season!
Lots of tulips, eggs, chickens, bunnies ( moss and wood) black and white check ribbons and mason jars!

A little spring burlap banner held by a moss bunny..Still loving the change of wall color in the kitchen! sometimes it looks light grey, sometimes greyish aqua and sometimes greyish green!
a little spring chalkboard front and center
Have a wonderful weekend!

DIY Spring Wreaths

 Good morning !
A couple wreaths got made last week for my daughters house and they were very easy !
The tulip wreath used an oval grapevine wreath , 3 bunches of tulips from Michael's, a bow made from burlap and a wood letter..3 big leaves I took off some sunflower stems I had and hot glue..

I started by gluing the 3 leaves on .. I then added the 3 bunches of tulips ..stacking them. I stuck the stems into the wreath and then hot glued them in.. glued down the bow on top of the stems ,and added the wood letter we painted white..it took about 10 minutes .. Just lay it on your wreath and glue..

This wreath we used a grapevine wreath my daughter had gotten at a rummage sale for 25 cents and attached a garland from Hobby Lobby using pipe cleaners so she could take it off if she didn't like the wreath anymore..They were selling a wreath just like this at Hobby Lobby for $79.00 ..The garland was $20 with 50% off.
Remember the tulip wreaths we made last year ?

Aren't they both pretty and springy?

It hangs inside her house on the back door.. The other wispy wreath hangs on a gate on the wall in her family room

Spring in the Foyer

Good morning ! We were supposed to get alot of snow here in the Chicago area this morning but we only got a dusting ..hooray ! I am ready for spring and gardening !
On top of the chest in the foyer, I have a silver tray with an apothecary jar, inside is a nest filled with eggs and a little bird.. dried hydrangeas and a silver bowl with a bird nesting inside.. I love the Rooster canister, I got it at Homegoods..a little wood chalkboard and a Fitz and Floyd duck pitcher.
I left the coffee filter wreath up over the mirror , its hung on burlap. The wrought iron tiered basket came from an estate sale ,I filled it with tulips and added a burlap bow and chalkboard..The below photo is the same view last year , we widened the doorway ,removed the popcorn ceilings, took down the wall in the foyer , added can lights, painted and new trim..

This is the wall that was removed between the living room and foyer, now you can actually see into the family room from the living room :)
We are hoping to get the carpet removed from the stairs this year and a new railing .We had quite the mess going on last year ^^ so glad it is all finished !
Thanks so much for stopping by !I would love for you to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest ..all the links are in the sidebar !
