Snowman Tiered Tray

Good morning!
The Tiered tray is all set for winter and snowman season!
Got all 5 in the photo :)
I loved this tray decorated with Santa Mugs so much that I had to use my snowmen mugs in the same way ..

all of these snowmen mugs and salt and pepper shakers have been found in thrift shops
My favorite are the 3 little guys in front and those are Fitz and Floyd
Calvin is still waiting for Halloween decorations to come out again .

I found this tray at Hobby Lobby .. and added greenery and buffalo check bows .. I also found the buffalo check tray at Hobby Lobby on clearance ..
Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Wreath Update and a Hutch full of Snowmen

Good morning!
Last year I finished up this Prairie Schooler Prairie Seasons Winter and used burlap to tie the stitching to the wreath .. I just wasn't feeling the burlap anymore so I took a trip to the basement and added a new ribbon for tying..
It is a red plaid flannel ribbon and I also added some of the light colored plaid ribbon for contrast.. the greenery and berry picks are just stuck through the wreath so they can be changed out..The old version of the wreath is below..
The hutch is filled with lots of snowmen .. most of them found while thrifting..

I was so lucky this week when I stopped into Homegoods and there were 2 Rae Dunn mixing bowls on the shelf .. I just told my daughter last week I needed to find some :) I still need the middle size , but I will find it!
On the back of the hutch is a vintage scale on a thrift store frame and some snowmen..

One of the little snowmen from the cabinet sits on a greenery wreath..
This hutch was oak and really ugly before it got painted with chalk paint and now it is an amazing part of the kitchen ..I tried to get rid of it on Craig's list for $50.00 before I painted it but no one would take it! On the top of the hutch is a greenery garland and a cotton stem garland with white lights woven through..A picnic basket from the thrift store and some cow creamers on top of that .. Also a collection of chickens ..one in a vintage galvanized bucket..

I love the revamped wreath and think it looks wonderful with all the rest of the kitchen goodies!
Have a wonderful day!

Winter in the Galvanized Tiered Tray

 Happy Thursday!
I am here to show you my galvanized tiered tray dressed up for winter! Even though here in northern Illinois it's not very wintery ..40 degrees and rain is not normal! Personally I would rather have snow than rain! And yes that is a tree in the background.. it is the ice skate tree that I keep up through January..

Front and center is a little chalkboard ( with hopes of snow !) Lots of Little snowmen decorate the tray, with lots of flocked and icy looking greenery ..

The mason jars on top are filled with greenery and tied with red gingham fabric ribbons..
I do love changing this tray out for all the seasons and holidays.. it goes between this spot on the table and the end of the kitchen counter..

The kitchen hutch has also got a snowman theme .. My snowmen don't come out with the Christmas decorations.. they have their own season which is now !
I loved the buffalo check ribbons at Christmas and they seem very wintery to me so they stayed.. Pretty soon it will be time to switch it all up for spring! But for now "Let it Snow!"

Winter In the Kitchen 2016

 Good morning!
Hope you are all having a great week!
I have shown you bits and pieces of the kitchen decorated for Winter ..and I am putting all those together here..
Of course the seasonal chalkboard ..one of my favorite decorations!
I have a couple wintery vignettes on the counter .. the lantern is a light up wax melter from Walmart ..Love it ! a snowman plate from Goodwill and a cow creamer ( also from Goodwill !) sit on top of a white pedestal cake plate.. next to that is a wrought iron basket filled with white greenery ,a little tree,a plaid lined basket with a pedestal inside holding a glass jar with a winter scene ..( epsom salt , a truck ornament and a bottle brush tree)
This vignette has a couple vintage chickens in a cloche ..mason jars, another cow creamer snowflakes, greenery and bottle brush trees in a wooden tray..
There is a winter chalkboard on top of the hutch with a flock of chickens and greenery ..
I keep moving the galvanized tiered tray between the table and the counter .. which do you like best? Two years ago when we did a little remodel I painted my kitchen hutch ( after I tried to  sell it on Craig's list and had no takers !) My kids didn't even want it for free :) A little homemade chalk paint and I love it ! It is another of my favorite places to decorate for the seasons! I am going to paint my kitchen table ..not liking the oak at all .. trying to decide the same cream as the hutch or the grey I used inside the hutch .. Hoping to get that done in the next week! So what do you think ? Grey or cream ?

This was it in all its oak glory :)

Much better now! I filled it with snowman ..snowman plates , transferware with a winter scene and of course some chickens ..Those Little snowman cups were 99 cents at the Goodwill .. I also keep moving that Winter stitchy wreath between the hutch and the wall ..

The galvanized tiered tray ..another favorite seasonal decoration spot..okay all the decorations are my favorites!
Love all the cute snowmen! For the past couple years the snowmen have not come out with the Christmas decorations ..I save them for January and February ..
This vignette has one of my vintage scales , a snowman plate and cookie jar ..another cow creamer ( they keep multiplying !), bottle brush trees, plaid ribbon, faux cotton branches and snowy greenery ..I still have 3 trees up ..the ice skate tree that you can see here is in the dining room..the snowman tree in the family room and a little tree in the foyer..still loving all the Winter decorations! The Winter Seasons in Chalk hangs on the dining room wall connected to the kitchen ..
Thanks for stopping by!

A Winter Stitchy Wreath

My first stitchy finish of 2016!
Prairie Schooler Prairie Seasons finished into a wreath .. I used burlap to hang it from the wreath and added a plaid flannel bow and some frosty evergreen picks..
Last year I finished spring ..summer and fall this same way ..so I am excited to finally have this one ready !

Right now it is hanging on my kitchen hutch , that is full of snowmen..

The Winter Galvanized Tiered Tray

Good Morning and Happy Sunday !
So .. we all know how much I love my galvanized tiered tray
in the kitchen .. It is all decorated for winter ..

There are salt and pepper shaker snowmen ..a little chalkboard and even a cross stitched ornament this time ..
Painted mason jars.. pine cone pics and lots of winter greenery .. I kept the little wreath around the BHG deer salt and pepper shakers from the Christmas tray .. they were too cute to move :) The tree salt and pepper shakers are also BHG at Walmart ..
A lot of the snowmen have come from thrift shops and estate sales..

I like it best on the kitchen table ..but it is also cute on the counter ..
Hope you are having a great weekend ..
