Halloween Tree!

Good morning!~

The Halloween tree is even more festive this year with the addition of our Housewives Halloween ornaments! The tree sits on a wood crate so it is raised up off the floor ..and yes still no railing .. we DIY ed our stairs .. ripped off the carpet and sanded stained them and added a runner .. We also had the board and batten put on the stair well wall ..The railing is scheduled to be installed in December !

The white pencil tree sits in the foyer so when the front door is opened for trick or treaters that is what they see! 

I love decorating it with lots of ribbon and black tulle ..

stitched ornaments .. and Halloween ornaments purchased from Hobby Lobby and Michael's in the past couple of years 

the witch legs are from Walmart .. the witch head was from a church garage sale .. the black cat topper is from Etsy ..

there are white lights on the tree but when lit they make the ornaments harder to see in photos ..

The moon and black cat was my first purchase at the flea market last month 

I think I might need a bigger white tree for next year!

October 31st!

 Good morning!
Here she is! Hanging on my vintage window in the family room!

 Remember last year Chelsea stitched these witches Bobbing for Pumpkins and I finished it one this sign for her ... that started an avalanche of this sign being used for cross stitch all over social media.. I also got one of the signs for myself to stitch Bobbing for Pumpkins ..but this October 31st witch fits perfectly !

 This sofa table in the family room is full of Halloween ..Prairie Schooler When Witches go Riding.. October Year in chalk .. Basketfull of Autumn from With Thy Needle and Thread.. Threadworks Primitives Beggar's Night .. and October 31 st from With Thy Needle and Thread..

 I mounted her on sticky board .. and added a black homespun check covered  piece of sticky board behind her .. I used twine for hanging .. and that was way too easy :)

Halloween Tiered Tray

 The tiered tray is all set for Halloween !

 A chalkboard sits front and center .. Halloween salt and pepper shakers.. buffalo check pumpkins .. and lots of buffalo check ribbon ..

 It sits in the middle of the kitchen table on top of the quilted table runner we made last year..

 I found these pretty yellow tinted lights at Dollar Tree and used 2 strings of them .. they look so pretty at night!

 Autumn Acres Farm hangs on the wall in the dining room and Prairie Schooler seasons is in a wreath on the hutch ..

Seasons in Chalk Art Halloween ..Boo!

Good morning!
I know it is almost the 4th of July .. but it is time for Halloween.. Stitching that is :)
The next in the Seasons in Chalk series is out for download now in the Just Cross Stitch special Halloween issue! So you can get started stitching this Halloween cutie!!

This photo is Cathy ( Hands on Design) stitching on the left and my chalkboard on the right.. This was taken on my front porch last fall .. Cathy does such a great job turning my chalk doodles into cross stitch ! I love stitching these .. seems so many of you are loving these also! We have talked about doing more once this series ends.. YAY! I hope it happens!

Mine is mounted on the vintage paint by number frame I got at an estate sale.. it sits on top of a board painted with chalkboard paint....Magnets on top of the board and small pieces of sheet metal on the back of the stitching..so I can change it out with the seasons.. I stitched it on a 28 count hand dyed Monaco evenweave I got from Etsy.. GaribaldisNeedlework

Isn't it fabulous on white too!

Halloween Stitching

 Happy Friday ..
I wanted to show you all the Halloween/Fall cross stitch I have displayed for the season.. A few years ago I only had one piece ...and there is alot more now !
One of my favorites is this Plum Street Samplers Ghoul Tidings.. it was in a Just Cross Stitch Magazine.

Last year I stitched this Prairie Schooler design and used magnets to attach it to a decorative tray I bought at Hobby Lobby and spray painted ( It was red with a Christmas design)
