Hoppin' Down The Bunny Trail Chalkboard

  Good Sunday morning!
There is a bunny on my chalkboard!

 The Tiptoe through the tulips chalkboard is erased and now we are on to bunnies or I should say one big bunny !

 
I got up this morning and decided it was time for a bunny on the chalkboard..
I used the colored chalk again :) pink,yellow,blue and green..

 I am so glad I bought this frame from a garage sale almost 2 years ago ! I have so much fun changing it out for all the seasons!

 I gave the bunny a wreath of flowers around her neck and a pink stripe bow trailing behind her..

Bunny Stitching Vignette

 I stitched up this little free bunny cross stitch pattern this week .. I saw this stitched on Carol's blog a couple years ago and loved it ..

I mounted it onto an oval shaped piece of mat board, added some decorative trim .glued some moss to the back of it and hot glued it to a thrift store tray..I added a bow from burlap looking wired ribbon..My daughter gave me two of those small silver trays yesterday that she wasn't using so one of them is being used now !Somebody better take the bag of moss away from me I want to put it everywhere ! :)

 I put it on the chest in the foyer on a little easel..

Isn't it cute ?? It's a very quick to stitch up project you could finish before Easter !

Baby Bretton's First Birthday Banner

 Happy Tuesday !  Last Friday was the youngest grandsons first birthday, so I made a banner for him with my cricut.  I used 5 x 7 photos, one from each month to do the banner.  I got the scalloped squares from the storybook cartridge and this is the football svg ..  I added his name on the bottom and how many moths each photo was.

 I was going to use big tulle blue bows on the ends but it looked too girly. I ended up just making long chains with yarn and my crochet hook , and making pom poms in blue , red, and brown.

I stapled ribbon to the tops for hanging and added a red check bow to the top of each one.

They hung it across their sliding glass doors  ( it was hard to get a good photo ) but they are having a big birthday party in a couple weeks so hopefully I can get some better pictures then.

He loved his new Little Tikes car .. 
On Easter we stripped off his clothes to color Easter eggs.. He had a great time doing it !

 

I made a cream puff cake for dessert on Easter.. I just made the normal cream puff dough, baked it , then after it cooled made the cream puff filling ,cooled it and put it on top of the dough. Then whipped up some heavy cream with a little sugar. It is so good! Next time I think I will add some sliced strawberries to the top.

 It was actually nice enough on Easter , 57 degrees ,that we went for a walk , Daughter in law, daughter, #2 sons girlfriend , oldest son... 2 grandsons and all the dogs ..It is back to being cold again , even a few snow flurries !

The year of 2012

Thought I would do a little year in review !

 

 

January of 2012 brought crocheting of baby blankets for the newest grandson to be born in March

February there were these Valentine cookies

and another baby blanket

 

March brought more crocheting with this baby dress and sock monkey hat and diaper cover. March also brought us a new grandson :)

More crocheting and cookie making in April with Easter cookies Football,da bears and a giraffe hat  and

 May brought a graduation ,prom ,2 more blankets finished  and the flower blanket progress and lots of gardening !

In  June I made this flag pillow for the front porch..finished the flower blanket.

 July was filled with lots of gardening balckberries and tomatoes

In August I finished this summer garden granny square blanket ..picked raspberries   and took our second to youngest son 6 1/2 hours away to college..

 September was spent making subway art  ,picking pumpkins ,decorating for Halloween

making sweater pumpkins

and a subway art table runner ..

October brought more Halloween decorating ..

 Carving out a pumpkin for the little grandson and making him a pumkin hat !Mr. Pumpkin

 Carving pumpkins in October is always a big deal around here pumpkins !

 In November the mantel got changed to Fall  for a little while :)

Christmas decorating ! started

We had a total of 12 trees this year . trees and more trees..

 I made a subway art table runner .. Love it !
