Quilt-A-Rama!

Good morning! There has been some quilting happening around here!I was the lucky recipient of a jelly roll from Fran .. one of our Floss tube viewers.. Thank you again Fran if you read my blog ...it was so kind of you to send that!)so I had to get busy and use that Jelly roll.. :)
I bought 2 white fabric jelly rolls from Joanne Fabrics.. ( who knew they had those ) :)and one more of the Vintage Picnic Rolls to make this twin size quilt .. we made it in 2 days ..could have probably made it in less time but I ran out of fabric and ordered the 2nd jelly roll.. I stitched them on muslin squares ..Chelsea is doing hers on freezer paper but I didn't like that ..so muslin squares were easier for me . This is so easy to make because you go right to sewing .. the only cutting is after you make the squares.
I bought the backing fabric at Joanne fabrics .. not a perfect match but its pretty and spring /summer colors.. I love this quilt and have it draped on the back of the living room sofa ...Chelsea suggested I use the strips sewn together for the binding so that is what I did .. for the quilting I machine quilted the big squares and that is it.. I might go back and do a little more I haven't decided ..
This is Chelsea's string quilt fabrics that she is using .. I am looking for this fabric now to make another quilt with a jelly roll .. This line of fabric is Farmers Daughter.. so pretty!
The quilt I made before that is this one in all the vintage farmhouse looking prints.. muted florals , ticking stripes and gingham fabrics.. I bought all this at Joanne fabrics.. by the time I used my coupons and the sale prices it was very inexpensive.. this is also a twin size quilt .. this one hangs out in the family room ..and Ronnie thinks they are all hers.. I used fabric I had for the back .. a steel grey ticking stripe and red gingham for the binding.

at that same time Chelsea made her red , white and blue quilt ..
and here is Daisy in Chelsea's sewing room showing it off..she used blue checks for the backing , and red gingham for the binding ..

it is beautiful! When we make these quilts it is a team effort .. so we both made all of these..

Lastly the 2 rag quilts and rag quilt doll blankets for Chelsea's stepdaughters... they turned out so pretty! She bought 7 yards of flannel for each ..we cut 9 inch squares and used flannel on the front and back with no batting .. I think I would like to try and make one with 3 layers of flannel.. so that is it !

If you would  like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

You two have inspired me to quilt!! So, I went to Joann's on my lunch hour and bought some pretty pink fabric to make my new grandbaby girl a quilt for her crib. Wish me luck :)

Love, love! You have inspired me to go back to crosstitching after 20 years. I didn't even know we had an LNS in my town. When I asked how long they have been here, they said , "13 years." ha! Then I started teaching myself to crochet because of you. And now I want to quilt. Where do I begin? What YouTube videos would be great ones to start watching. Love your work!!! And Chelsea's!

On your first rag quilts, how many squares did you use across and down. What about for the girls' quilts? You guys inspired me to make my first rag quilt. I was going to make it 5 across and 7 down but ended up adding another row to side and bottom. I used 10 inch squares. I should finish it this weekend. I am having so much fun with it! And thank you for the heads up on the flannel sale at Joann's! :)

You two are amazing! Can't believe you've made so many quilts in just a few months! I need to figure out a way to retire so I can catch up with you! Have loved reading your blog for many years, and now I enjoy following you on FB, IG, and of course YT. You guys are my favorite part of Saturday. Enjoy your weekend!

You two are amazing & thanking you for letting people know that making things can be easy for you in stitching & quilting. I have been sewing & stitching for years but I still consider myself a beginner, intermediate. The quilts came out beautiful & your photography is amazing

Priscilla & Chelsea, your quilts are Awesome for beginners. I can't believe how much you get done is no little time. I have been quilting on and off for 36 years and just have to make the jelly roll quilt like the one you just finished. I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for inspiring me to get back into cross stitch and all the great decorating ideas you have shared. You both are Amazing. Kim
