A Snowman in a Tray

Happy Sunday!

I left off the candy cane to make it more winter than Christmas .. and stitched it using Classic Colorworks floss in the colors .. Mistletoe..Licorice Red.. Four Leaf Clover.. Autumn Spice ...12 Grain..Black Coffee .. I stitched it on blue coffee tea dyed 28 count

I also use this same tray for Jingle all the way

and Spirits and Spells

I found this tray in Missouri last spring .. I chalk painted it off white and added some glaze for distressing .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 pieces of warm and natural batting in between .. a magnet stacked on small pieces of sticky board in the bottom of the tray to raise it up enough for the washer on the back of the stitching to attach .. I used a green plaid homespun for the trim and a red plaid bow and a jingle bell snowman .. It is super cute!

Snowy String

Happy Saturday!
Here is Snowy string from Lizzie Kate all finished up .. color changes and a change from a penguin to a snowman !

This is the 5th string with only spring left to stitch ;; I mounted it on sticky board and then mounted large black and white check fabric on sticky board .. I used magnets and washers to attach...

I used Classic Colorworks English Ivy, Ribbon Red, Bamboo,Cocoa Bean , Eggshell , and Black Coffee

Fabric is 28 count light blue evenweave that's coffee tea dyed ..

I used a snowflake pick and a bow made from plaid ribbon with a black and white check covered button ..

A Truck full of Winter!

Happy Friday!

Here is my first finish for 2019 .. It is the truck portion of the Winter Wonderland Farm chart .. My chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands on Design!

I mounted it on sticky board ..( don't mind the glitter .. it is fallout from the greenery I used on top ) and then mounted big red gingham homespun to sticky board ..

I used a vintage muffin tin and attached it with a magnet and washer on the back

I also used a magnet for the greenery and bow .. so I can use the muffin tin for other designs .. I now have two of these muffin tins in use .. one for the long skinny designs and this one for the smaller pieces .. A bow of buffalo plaid and a snowman jingle bell finish it out! Love it !

Recipes from 2018

Good morning!
Here is a trip through all the recipes I shared on the blog in 2018 and a couple from previous years!

First up strawberry freezer jam .. which I have no more of because of furnace/freezer breakdown ! BOO!

Zucchini cassserole! Love this stuff!

Quick and easy chicken caprese .. Love this too ! Can't wait for summer!

Quick and easy sausage and peppers pasta .. I might make this today :)

Mustard roasted potatoes

This one is from a couple years ago .. the two breakfast casseroles we make for Christmas morning ...

and of course my Yard Sauce .. which I made so many batches of but only have a couple bags left because of the furnace/ freezer debacle .. BOOOOO!
Hopefully in 2019 there will be more recipes to share with you! Can't wait for it to be gardening season!
