Requested Recipes

Good morning!

We had some requested recipes from Easter dinner so here you go .. we started with breakfast that day .. Monkey bread and melon and berries ..
First up Monkey Bread .. recipe here  I didn't make the white icing that went on top .

Pioneer Woman Macaroni salad ..
recipe here  we don't add the onions

The most important part of the dinner!
"Hash brown Casserole"

2 lb. bag of frozen shredded hashbrown potatoes
16 ounces of sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 tsp. pepper
2 -3 cups shredded colby/ monterey jack cheese
stick of butter melted
2 cups crushed cornflakes
Mix together potatoes ( I like to thaw mine for about an hour)  soup , cheese , sour cream , salt and pepper . put in a greased 13x 9 casserole dish .. top with crushed cornflakes and melted butter . Bake for an hour at 350 degrees
1 stick of butter melted

Grey stuff cupcakes
.. Chelsea made chocolate cupcakes from a box mix and then made this frosting / filling .. they are so good!  Recipe here

we used more whip cream than what the recipe called for because it was a little stronger than the Disney cupcakes ..

My "party potatoes" is the very same recipe. I have different names for it, hash brown bake, hash brown casserole, funeral potatoes, party potatoes-one and the same. I like the monkey bread recipe, will need to try.

I can't wait to try all of these but in particular I've been watching for the hash brown casserole! Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks for the recipes! We call the hashbrown casserole "funeral potatoes" because a lot of people used to bring them to gatherings after funerals. I've used the dried onions mixed in and sprinkled on top as well. Really delicious. You can also make these ahead and put in frig or freezer. They keep very well!
