Hello Spring 2

Good morning! 

This is Hello Spring from our Stitching Housewives Etsy shop .. stitched by Chelsea and finished by me ..

I found the little pedestal at Hobby Lobby .. I Mounted the stitching on sticky board with batting underneath  and mounted black buffalo checks on sticky board for the backing ..

I made a bow from 2 different ribbons .. added a red polka dot covered button with a chicken on top ..

Happy Easter

Good morning!
This is Easter Wreath from Tiny Modernist .. stitched by Kimberly at Fat Quarter shop and finished by me :)

I found the bunny at Hobby Lobby .. it is metal and stands on its own .. it's belly was the perfect size for the stitched piece ..

I mounted the stitching on sticky board , with 2 layers of batting underneath .. and added a ruffle of torn aqua gingham ..I added another fabric covered sticky board for the back ..

here is the item # for the bunny ..and the chart is here 
to attach the piece to the bunny I glued a piece of ribbon to the top between the back sticky board and the front sticky board which I tied around the neck area of the bunny .

 Then I just stuffed the piece into the belly area ..for the bow I used 2 ribbons and added 2 small carrots and a little chick..

The Housewives Rit Dye Tutorial

Good morning!
We finally were able to do a easy tutorial on how to dye your fabric with Rit dye !
Calvin wants to make sure that you see all the dyed fabrics!

Winter Whirlygig 2

Good morning!
This is Winter Whirlygig by Heart In Hand Needleart .. stitched by Chelsea and finished by me ..

My winter whirlygig  both of them are finished on vintage trivets from flea markets or thrift stores ..

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 layers of batting underneath .. I added Lori Holt Vintage trim in cloud around the edges ,, then a ruffle of plaid fabric 

you can see how I finish round pieces in this video ..

I made a bow with 2 different ribbons .. added a wood snowflake that I painted ..

then topped that with a covered button ..and added flocked greenery under the bow .. the bow is attached to the trivet with a pipe cleaner and a magnet and washer attach the stitching ..

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day!

The Easter canister is from Michael's

and just like Hello Spring it is mounted on sticky board with a black  gingham sticky board behind it ..

I added a bow to the top with 3 different ribbons .. burlap .. black checks and orange checks .. with a felt carrot on top ..Hope you are as much in love with him as we are !

Valentine cookies 2020

Happy day before Valentines Day!

I love the mason jars.. I kept it simple this year with only 2 colors.. red and white

September Square Dance 2

Good morning! 

This is Chelsea's September Square Dance from Heart In Hand Needleart that I finished on a buffalo check canister  she found at Hobby Lobby ..

My September Square dance here  these canisters were in last year's Spring decor at Hobby Lobby and are no longer available .

I mounted the stitching on sticky board with 2 layers of batting underneath 

I used 2 fabric covered sticky boards .. one black gingham and one red polka dots 

I added red check ribbon on the sides with some Lori Holt vintage trim over the top .. Chelsea wanted a bow that would work for all the months so I made a bow of 2 different black check ribbons .. The stitching is attached with magnets and washers to be able to switch out monthly ..

She will be able to store all the months in the canister ..
