Fall and Christmas Whirlygigs

Good morning!
Two Whirlygig's ..one Fall ( Chelsea's ) one Winter ( mine) both on thrifted trivets I changed the floss colors on mine .. I used all Classic Colorworks .. Black Coffee, Cherry Cobbler , Rainshower , Bamboo, Cocoa Bean , Steamed Broccoli  ..
To finish Chelsea's I used some Lori Holt lace ..and kind of pleated it around the edges .. I then added a gathered ruffle of orange plaid fabric .. I added a washer to the back because there is already a magnet on the trivet ..Fall with Santa's ...because it is full on Christmas here !
My trivet is green and much smaller than Chelsea's .. I added the black gingham to both of them and then we just change out for the seasons ..I added red vintage trim from Lori Holt and a red and white plaid gathered fabric ruffle to mine ..I used red ticking stripe ribbon and black check ribbon .. a covered button of red and black fabric and some sparkly greenery .
I made the bow with fall plaid ribbon and orange check ribbon .. I added a velvet pumpkin to the top . and attached a magnet to the back to change out for the seasons ..

When you do your finishing on a trivet, do you cover over the tile that is inset or do you replace it with covered sticky board?

Love the way you use trivets!
