Two Blankets.. A Blizzard.. and Thrifting

                                                Happy Superbowl Sunday !

I have two new crochet blankets I am working on ..I am using I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby for both.. The first one is a giant granny square ..done in blue/green, peach, pale yellow and white. This one is a gift and the colors are to match their bedding ..

I have made 3 other giant grannies you can see them here   here and here.. This is super easy to make just make a regular granny square increasing with every round. Also a secret is to turn the blanket every round so it stays in a square shape. Sometimes you see peoples blankets and they aren't square ..its because they don't turn them every round :)

The second one is a join as you go granny square blanket for my daughter's living room in aqua, red and white.. This is also super easy and pretty fast to make ! Here is a link to the join as you go instructions I use..

I started this granny square blanket off without the white , and I wasn't loving it ..I took it all apart and added the white and I love it now ..Last year I made this join as you go granny square blanket..

I found this table at the Goodwill before Christmas.. It was $8.50 I haven't decided whether I am going to paint the legs or not ( and leave the top wood) What do you all think ? I also got that amazingly huge soup tureen on the bottom shelf last week for $4.99..Isn't it amazing ??

We here in Illinois are under a blizzard warning today ! 7 inches so far and its not supposed to stop snowing until tomorrow..
I finished stitching this Little House Needleworks ornament last night .. Trying to stitch one LHN or CCN ornament a month for the Little House and Country Cottage group on facebook..I just realized I forgot to stitch the reins for the horse :)
I also am stitching this cute chicken design for Prairie Schooler..
Thanks so much for your visit !  I Hope you have a wonderful day !

If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Hi Priscilla! Oh, your dainty little fingers have been going to town. Love seeing all of your pretty crochet work. Your needlework is beautiful too. Now if I could go thrifting with you! What a beautiful table you found and the tureen too!
Have a great week and stay warm and safe.

Stay in, stay warm, stay safe, and try and stay busy. Here in Utah we have not had a bad storm this winter but I'm sure that we will. All of you in the mid west are in my prayers.XX Jo

All your crocheting is gorgeous! I would love to learn to make a granny square blanket! I am new to crocheting so maybe someday!

When you say after finishing a round on the large granny square you simply turn your work around instead of starting a new round? Is that you mean?
