January Stitching

 Good Morning !
I finished up my January stitching ..and this is the end of the Country Cottage Needleworks cottages and wordplays from With Thy Needle and Thread for me ! So excited to be finished ! As it stands I am not going to stitch Novembers since I decorate for Christmas early .. But this is the last of the eleven months !
The January cottage sits on the aqua buffet in the family room.. I have a strand of white lights woven through the mason jars and the lanterns and little houses.

The colors of the January cottage fit right in here !
I love that deer ,it came from a Gordman's before Christmas ..I got 2 of them :) It's sitting on an urn from the Goodwill.
I used a piece of sheet metal on both of these and that attaches to a magnet on the frame so I can change them out every month. The back of the frame that the cottage sits on is a bleached color burlap.
The January wordplay sits on the  desk in the family room in a wooden tray .
I used a thrift store sweater to frame it out and its on a chalkboard painted thrift store tray ..
If you would like to see all the other months click here ! I love them all and it will be so fun to pull them out every month FINISHED !!!! I am starting a new monthly series as soon as it comes called a Year In chalk ..Have you seen it ? They look like little cross stitched chalkboards ! I am excited to get started on that !
Yesterday the sunset was amazing !
I finished stitching  this ornament for Santa Sundays on Instagram ..come find me if you are on IG @priscillablain ..hashtag #santasundayxs for all you stitchers to stitch something Christmasy on Sundays. This one is from a JUst Cross Stitch ornament issue .
We still have cold and snow .. the view out of our living room window..
If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Congratulations on finishing both of these great series, Priscilla--I really love how you've displayed them and it will be great changing them out each month! The little I Believe In Santa finish is adorable, too--thank you for sharing your work on your blog, too, as I am not on Instagram or FB (except for those free charts in the cross stitch groups :)

I admire anyone that has the patience to do hand needlework. Your piece is so pretty. I love the look of burlap.

The colors of the cottage are just perfect for the other decorations. I love the Jan. Word Play. I'm glad I did them. Now when the next month rolls around, I just pop it in my frame.

Love the new I believe in Santa piece!

Nicely done! Speedy stitcher! I decided not to finish a monthly set also, because I decorate for Fall beginning in October, and wouldn't have an appropriate spot for these pieces... So got January through September done... good enough! Hugs!

I'm running into all sorts of cross stitch blogs today! Hmmm, maybe that's a nudge to get out my needle!! Lovely stitchery -- love it near the aqua jars, and the little Putz village is adorable!

Beautiful and I loved the way you framed the piece and others. I have never seen it done this way and I love it. I used to cross stitch, but not so much anymore. I'm subscribing to your blog so I can enjoy yours!

I really appreciate needle work I know the time that it takes to make these lovelies. You really do a great job.

I just love your cottage series cross stitch! How nice to have one for each month. I checked them all out and it just brought me back to the 80's when I cross stitched things for my 1900's farmhouse. I live in a Victorian home now and I can't cross stitch anymore due to arthritis. But I loved looking at yours!
