I'll Be Home For Christmas Mantel

 Good Morning !
I am back from a whirlwind trip to California to see our boy play football..Before I left last Thursday I got almost all of the house decorated for Christmas.. My first project was the mantel!Last years mantel was the White Christmas mantel.. This year I wanted some red added ..
I used my daughters flea market frame again and turned it longways. I painted the back of the chalkboard white and wrote the same I'll Be Home For Christmas , but I just wasn't liking it. I turned the board back over to the chalkboard side and doodled away .. and I love it !
There are white pine garlands, pinecones, red berry garlands and metal glittery snowflake garlands.
The houses all have red on them , and I took the battery lights out of the bottom and stuffed some of the white lights in each one. They all are from Homegoods.
I spray painted branches white and added glitter so they sparkle for in back of the houses.

All the cross stitched stockings are hanging up..with a white sparkly pine garland on the ribbon holding them ..Hopefully my son Hunters new stocking will be finished for next year !

So much fun adding the colored chalk to the chalkboards this year !

Thanks so much for visiting ! Happy Veterans Day , and thank you to all the Veterans for their service !

I really love your mantel decorations, and I saw those same houses at HomeGoods! They are gorgeous and one was in my cart, but then I went in a different direction with my mantel. I'm working on it, but it's no where near finished! Each of your stockings is a work of art, as well!

Really beautiful Priscilla! I love the touches of red. I have quite a few of those Home Good houses. I have put them on the top of my kitchen cabinets the last two years. This year I think I'm going to use them in my rustic cabinet in the entry. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,

Your mantel is absolutely gorgeous! I have long thought I would like to put my houses on the mantel, but I could not figure out how to make it work. Yours has given me all the inspiration that I will need. I may have to wait until next year now...unless I get inspired to change one of mine!
Thanks so much for sharing this!
