Happy Fall ! I have been doing a little Fall decorating.. Today I am going to show you the Fall book page banner I made for my mantel..
I cut letters out of cardstock with my cricut.. I made the letters 6 inches wide and 10 inches long. I cut each letter out 3 times.
I hot glued the letters together and then used mod podge for the adhering of the book pages. both underneath and on top.
I needed something for them to hang from so I cut burlap ribbon in half and hot glued to the back of the letters. I added little burlap knots at the bottom.
I thought they needed some "bling" so I used some glitter spray I had in silver.. then I hot glued around the outside edge and sprinkled silver glitter.
Our lighting in the family room isn't so great but they look amazing.. especially with the glitter :)
I used sweater pumpkins that I made last year and also the Fall Subway Art ..
I have a couple velvet pumpkins , some dried hydrangeas ( love them ) , lanterns , leave garlands
a scarecow sign and scarecrow.
I still want to add a couple small white sweater pumpkins so it looks like a trip to the Good Will is in order.
Yesterday my daughter and I went to a local flea market. We got a case of 12 vintage blue mason jars for $5.00 ! The big blue mason jar he charged us $1.00 for ! They are both Ball jars and Atlas jars. We split them up so we each got 6 new blue jars plus the big one :)
Still picking zinnias .. they are absolutely gorgeous !

This turned out so great! I'd love for you to link up to The DIY'ers! http://homecomingmn.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-diyers-28.html
Your mantle looks wonderful with the new letters, Priscilla--so warm and welcoming! What a great deal on those mason jars, too--you are so lucky to have a daughter to go to flea markets and thrift shops with!!
Too cute! Great idea!
I always love all your holiday decorations :-) Thanks for the great tutorial on the banner. Congrats on the amazing find! Looking forward to seeing what you make with them.
Blessings :-)

Great project....I love seeing creative ideas that haven't been done on every blog out there! You have a great mixture of textures there with the burlap, paper, and glitter. Perfect!
