I bought this hydrangia last year at Walmart on clearance for $7.00 .. the flowers were blue, but now they are lavender..I keep putting coffee grounds around it to make the soil more acidic.. hopefully I will get blue flowers !
My favorite garden decoration is this wrought iron bicycle my sister in law sent me from Connecticut.. Its got a basket in the front for a plant and a flat area on the back for a pot.

The blanket came out beautiful! I love all the colors. And your flowers are looking lovely; I admire anyone who can grow them. I grow only the plastic kind :-)
Blessings,
Kate
The blanket is gorgeous. WOW!! Beautiful gardens too. I know exactly what you mean about the Japanese beetles. I think we got ahead of them this year with Sevin spray because our plum trees still have leaves. :)

What gorgeous photos of your garden! LOVE the bicycle planter! Your blanket is really lovely! It's similar to a cherished blanket my Grandmother made me years ago. Stopping by from Funky Junk's Saturday Nite Special. Thanks for sharing! :-)

Lovely!
Throw some pennies in the soil around your hydrangea, it's supposed to help turn them blue.
Fantastic color choices! Found you from Sundae Scoop!
That is one GORGEOUS blanket! I saw it on one of the link parties, and I HAD to visit your blog to check it out. Great job!
It's gorgeous
Very beautiful!!
Love this! Do you have a pattern?
This is beautiful!!
Beautiful blanket. I have a bike in the garden also but the flowers didn't do so great. I like yours, though. I live in Connecticut, too. Best wishes, LInda
I know this is a long time since your original post, but any time you peel citrus fruits, drop the peel in a bucket of water, and use that water to feed your hydrangeas. The citric acid in the peel does an amazing job acidifying the soil and turning your hydrangeas blue.
