Daisy blanket

I got all the squares made, and put together..for my daisy balnket.. I couldn't decide what to do for a border and tried about 10 different things yesterday and this is what I am going with . I am excited because I designed it myself ! I wanted it to look like flowers all around the edge , but I didn't want to make all the flowers seperately and have to sew in all those ends ! So I did a row of sc, then 3 rows of granny stripe, blue, white, blue. Then a row of white sc. I took the yellow and sc 3 stitches, then chained 3 and slip stitch in same stitch all the way around blanket.  then I came back with the white and slip stitched that in the yellow, but when I came to the chain 3 space I sc chained 5,sc five times to make flower petals. I didn't want that much of the yellow to show so thats why I slip stitched instead of sc. I am 3/4 of the way around..hope to finish the edge today and start sewing in the ends.. Thanks for stopping by !

Coming along nicely. Am I losing it? Could have sworn I left you a comment about this pretty afghan, but I don't see it. Blogger Gliche? Need more coffee, heading to the kitchen. lol

Are those bullion stitches to make the daisies on the squares? Whatever it is, it's very effective. I absolutley love your flowery border too. Well done!

Beautiful blanket! I love to crochet but unfortunately I don't do it as much as I use to. I still have a blanket sitting in a basket that I have yet to finish. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day, Gail

Priscilla - In the description of the edging for the darling blue blanket, when you sc 3, then chain 3, then slip stitch in the same stitch all the way around... does the repeat start with the sc 3, or the chain 3? If I chain 3, then slip stitch, how do I move to the next place to chain 3? Hope that makes sense...

Crochet Kate , you need to do 3 single crochets.. repeat starts with 3 sc..Hope you see this :)
