Fall in The Dining Room 2015

Good morning!
Our dining room is dressed up for Fall!

A DIY Book page pumpkin, sweater pumpkins in aqua , cream and orange , fall floral picks and hydrangeas are on display..

The top of the hutch is filled with thrift store finds...from creamy dishes to vintage blue mason jars..

A faux cotton branch ,a burlap pumpkin and bowl of dried hydrangeas ..The little owls are salt and pepper shakers from BHG at Walmart .. the little white pumpkin bowl is also BHG ..

The only stitched piece in the room is from Country Cottage Needleworks.. I need to stitch more Fall pieces!

The bookpage pumpkin sits on a pedestal ,a brown transferware plate and a couple sweater pumpkins finish off this vignette.

The centerpiece is a thrift store chicken soup tureen on a white pedestal plate ..surrounded by a fall grapevine wreath.. I added some glittery pumpkins and it sits on a vintage crocheted table cloth.

A garland of sunflowers surrounds the thrifted soup tureens on top of the hutch..

The owl cookie jar is also a piece from BHG at Walmart..

Fall Chalkboard and Bookpage Mantel

Good morning!
So it is no secret that I L-O-V-E chalkboards.. and anything with bookpages.. My Fall Mantel incorporates both of those things!

I went to Home Depot and had a piece of wood cut for this vintage ( bought at a flea Market ) frame..I then painted it with chalkboard paint and here it is. I think I might dry brush off white paint over the gold on the frame ..Just haven't had time yet !

I cut an oak leaf shape from book pages.. folded them in half and glued them with hot glue in clusters of 2 and 3 to a strip of black and white gingham...Faux cotton branches ..fall leaves and berries..sweater pumpkins and glittery pumpkins are all layered on the mantel.

Chalk painted mason jars tied with black gingham check fabric hold a trio of sweater pumpkins. The white wood lanterns are from Homegoods.

There is also black check burlap ribbon entwined thru the cotton and leaves..and a strand of white lights to light it up at night!

So ..when I was doing the chalkboard this orange one was my first ..I didn't like the way it looked so it got erased and a white and black plaid pumpkin is the replacement ..

September 13 In The Garden

This weeks walk through the garden...

Sunflowers and zinnias are still going strong!

Sunrise , hydrangeas, red ornamental grass, Rose of Sharon..

Beautiful rust and orange sunflowers..rain and cooler temperatures this past week sure are helping all the plants to grow!

A Little Fall In The Foyer

Good Morning!
I have added some Fall to the foyer so lets take a look! The stairs are wrapped with fall berries and leaf garlands and some orange burlapish ribbon. I still have to add the white lights in for at night..Love the DIY coffee filter wreath hanging on the mirror..

On the little green cabinet ..I have a thrifted picnic basket ,inside is a cross stitch piece from With Thy Needle and Thread.. ..some sunflower picks, a faux cotton branch , sweater pumpkins

a chalk painted mason jar, vintage scale, burlap pumpkin and some fall leaves with the white chicken..

My neighbor made this scarecrow for me a few years ago , I have him sitting in a galvanized bucket filled with hydrangeas from the yard and some fall flowers.It is wrapped with a burlap bow ..a velvet pumpkin and sunflower pick finish off the table..

A close up of the stitching.. it is framed onto a thrift shop frame..

Still loving the sweater pumpkins ..painted mason jars and vintage scales!

There is a galvanized watering can next to the green cabinet filled with more dried hydrangeas and on the other side is a wrought iron 2 tiered basket filled with sunflowers..

The Fall Galvanized Tiered Tray

Good Morning!

It is time for the Fall version of my galvanized tiered tray ..

A little Fall chalkboard in the bottom center..

Owl salt and pepper sets from BHG at Walmart.. They are from last year and the year before.. so far I haven't seen any new ones this year ..I am hoping!
