It's Spring! Three Spring Finishes

 Good morning.. Happy Spring!
Here are three spring finishes ..stitched by my daughter Chelsea and finished by me .. First is Lizzie Kate 4 seasons spring .. finished onto a flea market tray .. I ruffled some torn  aqua gingham and stitched a little carrot from felt and added a little piece of Christmas greenery for the carrot top .. a couple sprigs of spring colored berries and a gingham bow with lace for the top .. it is stitched on 28 count tea/coffee dyed Monaco ..as are the other 2 designs shown here..

 also from Lizzie Kate April from the little monthly charts .. I mounted it onto sticky board ..then black gingham and used a magnet and a washer to attach it to this little chalkboard I found at Michael's..polka dot ribbon , burlap ribbon and a gingham covered button are the decorations on this piece..

 Last .. With Thy Needle and Thread April wordplay .. I used the same flea market tray we had painted with chalkboard paint and mounted the stitching on sticky board .. blue homespun check was used for the backing and then magnets to attach to the tray ..I also used a magnet on the bow so it can be changed out as well..

A Peep in a Moss Wreath

Hello friends! 

Happy St. Patrick's Day and happy Saturday! This is With Thy Needle and Thread Here a Peep ..There a Peep 

Is she just not adorable ?!?

 I changed up some of the colors ..they are all shown above .. I stitched her on 28 count Priscilla/Chelsea dyed blush pink :) ..which we dyed white Monaco pink then put it in a tea bath ...it is such a pretty shade of pink I wish it showed up better..

 I attached it to the big picnic hamper that sits on top of my kitchen hutch ..

 I used 2 layers of batting ..sticky board and some torn and then ruffled blue check flannel ..I attached her to a moss wreath I found at Joanne Fabrics ...added some pics and a beige gingham bow..

 This was a quick one to stitch ..just a couple days and she was all finished ! Now to figure out what to stitch next!

Bunny Love!

 Happy Wednesday!
I finished stitched With Thy Needle and Thread , Easter Parade today and got it all finished up and displayed!

 I found this frame at Walmart last Fall.. it is plastic and was gold.. I painted it with black chalkpaint and then white chalkpaint .. it is amazing! It looks vintage but it is definitely not!

 I stitched this adorable rabbit and chick on 28 count tea/ coffee dyed Monaco .. I changed a lot of colors and those are all shown above.. I used 3 layers of batting and just sewed it around the backing of the frame .. I added a tan gingham bow to the top with a couple peachy pink tulips draped down .. its adorable !

Welcome to the Carrot Patch!

Good morning!

This turned out so adorable.. can you stand the cuteness!?!! It is Welcome Spring by Country Cottage Needleworks ..I stitched it on 28 count Monaco that my daughter Chelsea and I dyed aqua with Rit dye , then also tea dyed..

 I changed up colors and you can see what I used above.. I also left out the welcome on the carrots because I knew I wanted to use this bunny sign..the bunny sign is from Hobby Lobby and the carrots from Walmart ..

 It looks perfect with the carrot patch mantel!

 This piece of gate is from a flea market last fall and I also used it for my Christmas Rules .. the bunnies came with a rope hanger that I placed over the top of the gate so I can use it for other pieces :)

 I mounted the stitching onto sticky board .. then mounted a piece of orange gingham on sticky board and a piece of black gingham on sticky board.. hot glued them all together and then glued that stack onto a piece of chalkboard ... I used black gingham strips to attach the bunnies to the chalkboard

 I made a bow from aqua gingham ribbon , and ripped pieces of black and ornage gingham .. flower blossom strands and a bundle of carrots add to the bow .. I also ripped off the bow that came on the piece and added a aqua gingham bow and covered a button with black gingham for the center..

I Painted The Craig's List Hutch!

 Happy Monday!
Remember my Craig's List hutch ?

I painted it! A couple weeks ago I painted it off white with Rustoleum Chalk Paint.. I left the top and back wood ..

 I bought new wrought iron looking knobs at Hobby Lobby ..

 I have it all decorated for Spring .. we are figuring out how to add lights to all the shelves.. I like it all lit up :)

 I planned on using dark wax to dirty it up .. but it made it too dirty .. so I used dark glaze and a small paint brush in all the cracks and detailed areas .. also on all the edges so it looks worn .., and vintage

 Don't you love this cake plate filled with baby ducks a nest and some flower picks ?

On the top I have some spring flowering branches ..some Lambs ear ..a vintage picnic hamper ,, an ironstone soup tureen and a lantern .. Seasons in Chalk art Spring hangs on the wall ..

It's March!

 Good morning.. happy Saturday!
I finished stitching the March sampler months from Little House Needleworks and Classic Colorworks this week.. Only 2 more left to stitch!

I changed some of the colors and all that I used are above..

 I mounted it on sticky board and attached it to a black gingham covered piece of sticky board .. I used a washer on the back to attach to the magnet I have glued onto the chicken wire basket ..
 I added some black check and black ticking fabrics for the bow .. and some green thistle branches were added to the cotton..

 It looks great with the Country Cottage Needleworks Cottage of the month! I do have to say I wish I would have started it somewhere else on the fabric because ( in photos only) it looks like there is a wrinkle by the M in March but it is just a little dark spot on the fabric .. oh well ..it looks great in person :)

The Bunnies are Frolicking

 Good morning!
I finished stitching Spring Frolic at Bunny Hill from With Thy Needle and Thread a couple days ago and fully finished it this morning ..Isn't it just beautiful?!?

 You can see all the colors I used above with the exception of Classic Colorworks Stepping Stones which I used for the bunnies.. Love them in the grey color..

I mounted it in a oval frame from the thrift store, that I chalk painted white .. I then tied it with twine to a grapevine wreath .. and look at that quilt! :)

 I added the pretty aqua flowers and an aqua and lace checked bow with a nest on top ..

 I used the piece that I added my lantern lane to , so it is on the stairway for now ..

This was fun and quick to stitch .. Love the colors!
