THANKSGIVING

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving ! We did. Way too much food ! Since my house is already decorated for Christmas, we used my new santa dishes. I got them at a church rummage sale for $15.00 this summer.Fifteen plates bowls and mugs. So cute and such a great deal !

30 minute tree skirt and some decorating peeks!

This morning I was looking at some blogs and came across instructions for a no sew tree skirt, and since I needed a tree skirt for my little white kitchen tree,I made it !http://randeesorganizedchaos.blogspot.com/2011/11/chaotic-christmas-day-35.htmlThis is where I got the directions. I used felt for the base of mine , and cut my strips about 4 inches, just hot glued the strips on.I am not going to wash mine so I didn't use the special glue either.It took me about 30 minutes for a skirt for this 4 foot tree.Love it ! I am going to make another out of muslin for one of my bigger trees. Maybe tomorrow ! Some peeks of my kitchen decorations with horrible lighting, Kitchen is almost done ...Family room is decorated ( 3 trees) , except the mantle, need to find some inspiration for that ! Make one of these tree skirts , you will love it !!

Started decorating my porch today..Love decomesh ! I used 2 evergreen garlands hooked together, 1 string of lights,1 1/2 rolls red decomesh and 1 roll of green . I bought 2 packages of shatterproof ornamentsred /white balls and white snowflakes and just used the wired evergreen branches to hold it all.For the wreath I used an old evergreen wreath and wired 2 rows of red plaid decomesh.I am going to get some either green ribbon or green picks to add to the wreath. Thanks for looking !

Football cookies

First time this year to see snow ! Guess that means no more flowers !Huge pretty flakes!

 Football sugar cookies with chocolate royal icing..for both sons football teams. Both won their playoff games last week , so two more games this Saturday . Quarterfinals for the high school and Superbowl for the eighth grader! So exciting !

Fall wreath and banner and another ugly ripple..

 This is my fall wreath using a gold deco mesh..2 different colors opf rib bon, orange with gold and a leopard print..I got some copper colored leaves in the Christmas pic section at Michaels and a big copper colored sunflower at Michaels ,also. My porch is decorated for fall, no more Halloween inside or out ! The banner I made with my cricut , all the shapes are embossed and stickled.It spells out family.  I just picked these flowers yesterday from my garden..can't beleive I still have zinnias in November !

 I am making another ripple blanket..its for a boy and those are the colors requested..I love the more colorful blankets like these shown with the dogs claiming them !

Two football playoff games this weekend ..high school senior Friday night , 8th grader Sunday morning.Going to be an exciting weekend !!
