The Frasier Fir 2015

 Happy Tuesday!
Today is tree #7 and the only real tree of the 13 the Frasier Fir..This year it is HUGE! And it fell over.. Yes it did.. The first day it was about 1/2 decorated and I was in the kitchen and down it went.. I had to take everything off the tree..A couple of my sons had to take it out of the stand and re screw those screws into it..they hadn' tightened it good to start with and that's why it fell! The smell of a Frasier fir is the best thing ever.. Just smells like Christmas!

 This tree is in our living room and the one that is loaded with family memories ..we have alot of ornaments on this tree! It is standing in a galvanized bucket I found at an Estate sale..

I brought the vintage child's wheelbarrow in and loaded it up with Santa and some branches that were cut off the bottom of the tree and a strand of pompoms..

lots of handmade ornaments..ornaments my kids have made..Disney ornaments ..Hallmark ornaments..ornaments from every place we have traveled to..

 and vintage ornaments hang on this tree

 There are 3 strands of decomesh that I used as a garland.. 2 red and a red and white stripe..

For the topper of the tree I used decomesh and a couple different kinds of ribbons and made 4 separate bows that are placed around the top.. I also added a bunch of red berry picks to accent the bows..

It's All Silver and Gold..

This is tree # 6 on the parade of trees.. I showed it yesterday with its importance of being one of the 2 trees in the Christmas Village..

 It is decorated with gold , silver and cream.. Lots of floral picks..lace the Happy Holidays Ribbon and the best thing is the DIY book page tree topper! It just makes this tree fabulous ..

cream glittery branch garlands are wrapped around the tree.. tulle and lace bows are tucked into the branches..

The Christmas Village for 2015

Happy Saturday!
Its time for the Christmas Village!

The village surrounds 2 of the trees in the living again this year.. Those trees are elevated on top of the storage bins that The Christmas decorations come out of.

This is the 6th tree in the parade of trees..It is all decorted in cream, gold and silver.. there is a diy bookpage tree topper..

The other tree is the Santa Tree that the village surrounds..

This is my husbands creation.. he sets up the village every year..

all is well in the village.. skaters are skating..the merry go round is spinning..

and Santa and his reindeer are on the rooftops..

and at night...

Dollar Tree Glittery Deer Wreath DIY

 Happy Friday!
I was in Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago to get some MORE Christmas balls.. and saw this cute vintagy.. glittery ..adorable deer sign for $1.00 ..So I knew it had to come home with me..for $1.00 :)

 I decided to make it inot a wreath for my downstairs powder room..I hang a wreath on the window in there and it is painted an aqua color..perfect!

 I used a grapevine wreath I already had.. you can see hot glue marks where it had been used before and I ripped all the stuff off and kept the wreath.. when they get faded don't toss thgem just rip it all off and add new :) I glued the ribbon hanger to the top of the wreath and tacked the sign to the wreath on the corners with hot glue. I had a evergreen piece that gets skinny on both ends... I know it came from Michaels a long time ago.. so I used that and 2 flocked sprigs on each side 70 % off at michaels ..so they were about 45 cents each .. Then I made a bow out of the leftover ribbon from doing my trees...a red gingham and a red plaid..

 Isn't it the cutest ..?.. and by using things I already had.. It cost about $3.00! and just an FYI the wreath isn't crooked my picture is!

Owls and Merry and Bright

 Good morning!
Here is tree #4 The owl tree..This tree sits on the stairs and there isn't a plug nearby so its the only tree that's not lit up..There are pine cones, silver glitter branches, snowflake burlap ribbon.. white berry strands ..There is a diy pinecone topper 

This is the owl trees 3rd Christmas ..I added a few new ornaments this year and also the white fur garland.. I made the crocheted owls and you can find the pattern here.. The bottom is wrapped with a piece of burlap..

and tree #5 is the Merry and Bright tree also in the foyer.. Last year was the first year for this tree.. it sits in a flea market basket 

 last year I decorated it in red and green ..this year red and white..with strips of red ticking for the garland..

 The letters are from my scrapbooking "stash" and I glittered them and added them to some jute..The white reindeer ornaments are form Walmart .. Both of these trees are 4 feet..

The Prairie Schooler Santa Tree

 Good Morning!
On to tree number 3 in my parade of trees :) The Santa Tree!

 This is one of my favorites because of all the cross stitched Santas that go on the tree..Love those Prairie Schooler guys!

 This year there were 5 new ones added 4 stitched by me and one stitched by Becky ( remember Becky Bee's stitching hive blog?) I connected with her on Instagram .. her name on there is Beckysc64 so if you are on Instagram you will love to see her stitching! She asked if she could send me a Santa for my Santa tree and I said..yes..yes yes! Isn't he fabulous and he couldn't have been more perfect since I spent my summer feeding the blue jays that would come visit our yard!

These were my 4 new ones this year .. I might need a second Santa tree to stitch all the Prairie Schooler Santas !

Vintage Glitter House Galvanized Tiered Tray

 Good morning!
You all know that I love my galvanized tiered trays to decorate for the seasons..

 This round one lives in the kitchen ..and this oval one is in the family room on the vintage buffet ..Both are from Sam's Club..

 I found 3 of the vintage putz like glittery houses last year at the local thrift store for 2-3 dollars each..so I used them as the main decoration for the tray..I added in other little houses..greenery ..mason jars..pine cones ..and bottle brush trees ..

 I even added a strand of white lights poked thru the back of the houses..and scattered through the tray..

 They tray sits in this vignette with flocked greenery ..Dept. 56 Santas..glittery deer ..aqua mason jars filled with lights sitting on thrifted basket.... fox salt and pepper shakers from BHG at Walmart and a Country Cottage Needleworks cross stitch mounted on a thrift store sweater in a thrift store frame..

 Love these little houses and I am always on the lookout for more!
