Fall subway art

Yesterday I got my foam stamps out and made these two subway art boards. The pieces of wood are from shelves that we used in my craft show displays for many years .They are whitewashed and beat up looking, perfect for crafting ! :) ( and to me they hold alot of memories !)

The youngest waiting for his ride to school this morning...you can't sit down long before you are a dog bed :) His football team lost their game yesterday to their big rival in the next town.

My fall mantle, next week I will start with the Halloween decorations
Started working on a new cross stitch project.. wanting something for fall. Its Little House Needleworks pumpkin cottage..

My son who is a walkon on the UK football team (kicker/punter) was redshirted.. That means he practices with the team ,is on the roster, but does not dress for games ( so far ). Saturday night I was watching the last part of the game and there he was in the stands ! I had to rewind it and take a picture ..We are going to see him for parents weekend in 2 weeks. Miss him so much ! Hoping he gets to dress for the game on parents weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,and all of your nice comments ! Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year ! Pumpkin picking ! ( and its supposed to rain . ugghh!) Here is last years pumpkin post ! pumpkin picking

Love your newest Fall decorating ideas, Priscilla--the subway art is so cute. And how nice that you got to recycle some old shelves, too.

Your new LHN project is adorable--fall stitching is my favorite.

How neat that you got to see your son on television in the stands... I do hope he gets to dress for the game when you visit--keeping my fingers crossed for him :)

Good morning my friend! Your subway art is fabulous! It gave me an idea. I have an oval board, I have painted it, and now I know what to do with it!! The picture of your son with the puppers all over him cracks me up!! Sorry they lost to their rivals!
How fun to see your son in the telly. I hope he gets to dress out when you are there too. Will you be bringing him his blankie?
Have fun pumpkin picking!!! Rain!!! What must THAT be like????? Can't wait for your pics!!
Hugs,
Kris

Love your subway art! My husband played football at UK with Joker! Many, many years ago. He had to be redshirted his freshman year .....tell your son, it is all worth it! He has the best memories from those years!

You know, after looking at all the subway art. Yours really caught my eye and now I know why. It is the most authentic looking. Weathered shelves and stamps. Not vinyl perfect looking letters. Those are nice, but tiring. Yours look great and are unique, so they stand out. Love them!
