Stitching Away..

Good morning and happy Friday!
I thought I would give you a little update as to what I am stitching on ( besides Seasons In Chalk pieces I can't show you !)
I started Daffodils by Prairie Schooler and the above is 2 nights progress.. so far it seems to be going pretty quickly ( for me ) ! I really love this one and am hoping to stitch most of the months and be able to change the out however I end up finishing it ..

For Christmas I gifted my Sister in law the Year in Chalk series with the pedestal frame .. I only got six finished to send her so I am finishing up the remaining 6 with 4 left to stitch .. I already stitched this series for myself so this is the second time for me to stitch them ..

I am doing the Country Cottgae Needleworks Santa's Village series all in one piece.. trying for one a month and so far I am on track ..

Peter CottonTail Spring Chalkboard

Happy Wednesday!

Hope your week is going well!

 So..it was time to change the seasonal chalkboard out for Spring..

Bee Mine got erased this morning ..

 and here is Peter Cottontail! He has a carrot border and hanging carrots..and a blue check bow..

 I think he turned out really cute .. and springy! We are expecting snow today..but it is Spring in the house!

 This is one of my favorite seasonal decorations and I love to change it out for the seasons!

Spring Stitchy Clipboard

 Good morning!
Last week I was in Michael's and happened top wander into a clearance section and they had these cute clipboard frames for $6.00.

I knew instantly that I wanted to use it for these Country Cottage Needleworks patterns ..( don't mind my bent pattern ..The dog sat on it ) and just not stitch the bottom portion. I wanted the colors to be not so bright so I did change all of them except the browns. I stitched it on my go to for everything  :) tea/coffee dyed 28 count Monaco. ( colors I used are ecru,964,3849,224,223,3347,987) I used 1 strand of ecru and 1 strand of 964 to do the insides of the windows..and 1 strand of yellow and one of ecru to do the insides of the flowers.

I love the grey pattern in the back and also the chippy white board it sits on..

 I mounted the stitching on sticky needlework board ..then cut a mat a little bigger and used green gingham on that piece .Glued the 2 together and added brown gingham covered buttons.

The pattern sitter .. I started and finished this on Sunday ..it was really fast to stitch up !

Spring in the Galvanized Tiered Tray

 Good morning!
Hope you all had great weekends! It was very warm here this weekend 60 degrees on Saturday and Wednesday we are supposed to get snow !
I was ready to move on from the Winter decorations ..so I decorated for Spring and I am loving it!

The first place to get springed up was the galvanized tiered tray in my kitchen ..

 Bunnies..chickens..eggs..birds..nests ..tulips..are all in here ..

 There is a little chalkboard in the front .. a moss bunny .( I am addicted to moss bunnies this year !)

 A little Spring banner that I cut the S off in this photo :) This is the back of the tray..

 A little rummage sale bunny that was 25 cents sits in the top with painted mason jars..black gingham ribbons and tulips decorate the jars..

 I love the tulips spilling out of the trays..

 Little grapevine wreaths in transferware and china cups make great nests for the birds..

 My daughter bought me these pretty pastelly chickens last year at Homegoods and they are front and center in the tray again this year .. well that's it for the tray tour.. there is a lot of stuff in there!

A Little Stitchy Spring Fix

 Good morning!
I decided to fix up my Lizzie Kate Spring 4 seasons yesterday..

 I added a mat to the back made from sticky needlework board and a yellow plaid fabric..I also added

2 fabric covered buttons ..that I covered with green gingham fabric

I think it looks a whole lot better ! How about you? Spring has come out all over the house and I can't wait to start showing you! Have a great day!

Valentine Sugar Cookies 2016

 Happy Valentine's Day!
I made a double batch of sugar cookies this morning and decorated them for Valentines day!

 Aqua ,pink and white were the colors I used to decorate them..

 The house smells so good from them baking..

Bee Mine Chalkboard

 Good Morning and happy Saturday!
I did a new chalkboard on the seasonal chalkboard for Valentine's Day ..

As always I hated to erase this last one.. He was such a cute snowman..

 I don't do much decorating for Valentines day ..Just this chalkboard and a few stitched pieces.

 Roses ..daisies..bees and hearts are the showcased parts of this Valentine chalkboard..

 All the trees are down and all the rest of the Winter decor is going to come down this week ( I know as soon as I take down the rest of the Winter decor it will snow big time :)..
I am ready to add some Spring to the house ..hoping we have an early one!
