A Bee C Sampler

Good morning!
This is A B C Sampler from Country Cottage Needleworks . this was one of my Stitchmaynia starts 2 years ago!

I used Classic Colorworks floss in the colors .. Queen Bee .. Ye Old Gold .. Lemon grass.. Ladybug.. Hickory Sticks.. Bamboo .I also left off the alphabet and moved the bottom border up . It is stitched on 28 count Monaco that we coffee Tea dyed 

I was able to go to a Hobby lobby last Monday and I found this wood standing piece with a saying and beads on it . I didn't have the stitching with me but hoped that it would fit ..and it did! 

I untied the beads .. they were strung diagonally across the frame .  I mounted the stitching on sticky board ..with a layer of  batting . I mounted yellow polka dot fabric on sticky board I then added daisy trim to the back of the stitching before I glue it to the yellow dots. Black gingham check fabric was torn and then ruffled for the top and bottom edges . I used magnets and washers to attach the stitching to the wood piece . I glued the wood beads to the bottom ledge of the frame and added daisies that I topped with black gingham covered buttons.. I also added a bee button to the center wood bead .

Jolly St. Nick and Rudolph .. Sip Of The Seasons

 Good morning! This is Jolly St. Nick and Rudolph .. #3 in our Sip of the Seasons series!

“Home”Patriotic Tiered Tray

Good morning!

I hope you had a nice Memorial Day weekend ! I decorated my tiered tray in the kitchen yesterday .. and made a little something special for the top of the tray last night! 

this is the house and chickens from our Home ..What's in My Cup Chart ! THis chart is available in our Etsy shop here ..

I did change the chickens to 12 grain for the floss color .. I also left off one row of their legs and moved the fireworks up . I also made the row of grass go underneath their feet ..

I had seen this stitched like this from Vintage Pinker on Instagram and loved it and knew I had to stitch it!

I found this pedestal frame at Michael's earlier this year .. I have 2 of them and already put another patriotic design on one of them ..I mounted the stitching on sticky board and also mounted 2 different fabrics on sticky board .. Glued all 3 pieces together . I added Lori Holt's vintage trim in cloud around the edges of the stitching . I made a bow of 2 different ribbons and added a covered button .. Simple and perfect for the top of the tray!

the back of the tray .. both of the signs are from Hobby Lobby .. daisies .. small flags ...cotton branches and boxwood picks are all included in the tray .

the chicken and cow are vintage found thrifting .

The Buzz of the Bees

Good morning! 

This is Buzz of the Bees .. a new Stitching With The Housewives chart that will ship to shops June 1st! 

 We are so excited to bring you another one of my chalkboards brought to life in cross stitch! Chickens.. sunflowers and bees .. some of our favorite summer things!

 Chelsea stitched this on 28 count evenweave that we dyed with Rit dye .. then coffee tea dyed . This would look great on any color fabric that the white floss will show ..It was sticthed with all Classic Colorworks but a DMC conversion is listed on the chart ..I am currently stitching it on blue fabric ..

To finish it ..  I mounted the stitching on sticky board .. and also added 2 other fabrics to sticky boards ..Glued the 3 pieces together and used magnets and washers to mount it to this chicken wire frame Chelsea and here husband made .. I added some greenery and a big sunflower with a bee button inside... Hope you love her as much as we do!

What's In My Cup? ... Old Glory

 Good morning!
What's in my cup today?  Of course it's Old Glory ..surrounded by sunflowers ...you can find the chart here in our Etsy shop 

 To finish the design .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board ..I also mounted red check fabric on sticky board and blue check fabric on sticky board . I glued the 3 pieces together and then glued them to this unpainted wood piece that I used Chalkboard paint on lightly so some of the background would show through .I made a bow with this twill tape  and red polka dot ribbon .. I then glued a sunflower on top of the bow .. simple ...pretty finish !

 Here are all 4 of the Patriotic ..What's In My Cup! Which on is your favorite? I am hoping to get my kitchen hutch all decorated with these patriotic designs this weekend!

Chalkfull.. Liberty

Good morning!
Here is #7 in the Chalkfull series ...Liberty .. This is my chalkboard to cross stitch collaboration with Hands On Design..

You might have already seen Liberty because Chelsea and I used it for the Midwest Cross Stitch Retreat last May.. what fun that retreat was!

Each chart comes with the small and the jar ..

I finished mine on the enamel stand  and bucket from Hobby Lobby .. you can still find the stand but the buckets are not available at this time .. 

I stitched mine on 28 count black evenweave ..

Truckin' Along ..August

 Happy Tuesday!
This is the August Truckin' Along .. in our year of vintage trucks!
This will ship out the June 1st to shops!

Sunflowers and Bees are the theme this month and they are so bright and cheery! 

I used the frame from Hobby Lobby with washers and magnets to switch them out for each month .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board and then also mounted black buffalo check fabric to another sticky board . I glued both pieces together for both the truck portion and the month portion ..

 I made a bow for buffalo check ribbon .. added a small sunflower and a gingham covered button to the center .
