Stars and Stripes Sheep

Happy Thursday friends!
I finished up this Tiny Modernist Happy 4th of July this morning .... this was one of my "extra" maynia starts :)

I used the Land that I love  thread pack from Fat Quarter Shop .. all Classic Colorworks and just added Black Coffee for the sheep .. I stitched it on 28 count light blue evenweave that was coffee/tea dyed ...Chart is available here .. Thread pack... here 

I mounted it on sticky board with 2 layers of batting underneath .. I used another piece of sticky board that I added navy ticking stripe fabric to .. I glued those together then added a red ticking stripe ruffle ..

The board its mounted on is shiplap from Cash's nursery walls .. a little leftover piece .. I made a bow from 2 different ribbons .. greenery and a daisy with a covered button in the center .. Love it !

June Squaredance

Good morning!
Yesterday I started this Heart in Hand June Squaredance as one of my Maynia projects .. and I also finished it up last night ..you can find the chart here

I found this buffalo plaid canister at Hobby Lobby and wanted to use it for this series .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board ..with 2 layers of batting underneath .. I mounted patriotic check fabric to another piece of sticky board that I made longer at the top so I could add a bow or other embellishment .. I stuck 2 magnets inside the canister and added washers to the back of the stitched piece ..and it works great!

I used floss Licorice Red, Blue Corn, Bamboo  and Rainshower from the Land that I love Floss pack and also added Straw Hat and Ladybug ... all Classic Colorworks 

This will be on display on the shelf in my kitchen and will be so cute to change out every month! I wanted it to be red white and blue .. because all my patriotic decor is up middle of May thru the middle of July ..

4th of July Hoopla

Happy Tuesday .. That feels like Monday :) ..because of Memorial Day yesterday :)

Isn't this so cute!?! This was one of my Maynia starts last week and I finished it up this morning .. Three maynia finishes so far! ..I used the Land That I Love Floss Pack from The Fat Quarter Shop ...

and added Classic Colorworks Queen Bee for the stars..

Remember the Easter Hoopla that I had finished on this lantern shaped metal container I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby ? I used the same metal container for finishing.. I mounted the stitching on stocky board .. added patriotic plaid fabric to another sticky board and glued them together .. I used Beelori ..Lori Holt's vintage trim around the edges ..

I added magnets to the back to attach to the metal on the box ..  I made a bow from 3 different patriotic ribbons .. I added greenery with white and yellow buds and also red and White pip berry branches ..

I attached the bow with a pipe cleaner to the top of the handle ..I also glued 3 daisies to the bow and added a red gingham covered button to each one ..

A piece of red gingham ribbon got attached under the daisies and  I added a star to each side that I cut out of plaid homespun ..

Red White and Blue in the Tiered Tray

Good Morning! 

Happy Memorial Day! 

The tiered tray is all ready for the patriotic holidays!

It sits on my kitchen table ... and I love decorating it for all the holidays and seasons!

I found the enamel sign at Hobby Lobby .. there are vintage chickens scattered throughout ...On the left in the dining room is the new Farmhouse Chalk .. Star Spangled Swine Farm ! It gets shipped to shops this week!

Mason jars that are chalk painted filled with daisies and flags ..2 strings of battery operated fairy lights are woven through the tray ...

Stitchmaynia week 3 and a Finish!

Happy Friday! Week 3 of Stitchmaynia is complete! One of my starts was O Be Joyful from Heart In Hand and I fully finished it this morning.. I mounted it one sticky board ..mounted black and red plaid fabric on sticky board .. glued them together ..added flocked greenery ,, a wooden snowflake ..buffalo plaid ribbon and a bow .. and on the bottom buffalo plaid ribbon with vintage trim from Beelori and a black gingham covered button ...I did change the floss colors and it is so cute! I say that every time ...don't I :) 

This is Christmas Sampler from Lori Holt.. I was supposed to start this last week but my fabric wasn't dark enough for the white to show .. so I dyed my fabric again and made it darker aqua .. love it so much with the Ribbon red floss
I also started Be Thankful from Country Cottage Needleworks .. Hope to have this one finished by Fall!

I was supposed to start Free and The Brave from The Drawn Thread .. when I opened up the chart and saw all the specialty stitches .. I just didn't have the brain power at that time to try  to learn those .. so I chose the Holiday Hoopla from With Thy Needle and Thread .. hoping to get this one finished up really soon!

Land That I Love

Happy Thursday! 

I finished stitched Land That I Love from Country Cottage Needleworks last night and finished it up this morning ...

I had found this truck at Michael's several weeks ago .. and it was just waiting for me to finish this piece up! I mounted the stitching to sticky board .. with 2 layers of batting underneath .. Then added red gingham check to another sticky board that was a lot longer so I could glue it to the back of the truck ..

The truck has a base so it can sit anywhere .. This is our stitchalong #pclandthatIlove

I added some bunting I made from ribbon and twine trim .. added daisies with plaid patriotic fabric covered buttons ,, and a flag glued to the back 

I used the Classic Colorworks floss colors I chose that are available at the Fat Quarter Shop
