Red, White , Blue and Daisies !

 Good morning ! I am here to share our patriotic front porch ! I added some red gingham check fabric to the daisy wreath I made to make it red, white, and blue ..

 There's lots of pots of flowers, most of them in the red, white and blue theme

 The basket of pansies in the urn is getting huge !

 I found this little heart shape basket at Good Will for 99cents and added a red geranium and some white allysum .. All the baskets we planted are doing great ! I also put out the flag pillow I made last year..

And now for some cuteness! My daughter new Jack Russell puppy Daisy .. She is a rescue pup and 8 weeks old .. so adorable !

Memorial Day Centerpiece

 Happy Memorial Day ! I changed the galvanized  tiered tray  from Spring to Patriotic this week..Love this tiered  tray !

I kept a lot of the daisies in it , and added some small flags..There is burlap America pillows, and burlap bows.. The stars and stripes mason jars hold daisies, a little patriotic cross stitch is showcased on the bottom tier..Its sitting on the patriotic subway art table runner I made last year ..

Planting Flowers in Thrift Store Baskets

Last week my daughter and I went to a local nursery ..They had the cutest baskets planted with flowers,

watering cans and wicker picnic hampers too ! The picnic hamper above is my daughters .. She loves those African daisies !

 So off we went to the Goodwill and Salvation Army .. we bought a bunch of cheap baskets ..then on to the Home Depot to buy some flowers..

 Here are our versions , our flowers need to grow in and we will need some warm weather for that !The above basket is huge ! On our way to Home Depot it was hanging out of someones garbage can :)

 We used Miracle Grow potting soil and just planted right in the baskets. The baskets were 99 cents to $4.00 for the picnic hamper.

 This basket was 99 cents and has a fabric liner..

These are my daughters..

I will show you all these again when they start to grow and fill in !

DIY Daisy Wreath

 Good Morning ! Remember the Tulip wreaths we made back in March ? I decided when I was buying those tulips I would make a daisy wreath for the early summer .. I used a grapevine wreath I already had and I used 15 bunches of daisies .

 I got these daisies at Michaels , I started with 12 bunches but it was a little sparse in places , so I got 3 more.

 I used wire to attach the bunches ..just wrap the wire tightly around the bunches about 3 times per bunch. It is really easy !

 To hang the wreath I used off white burlap and a light blue ribbon and just looped it around the wreath , then tied a bow.

 It looks so fresh and summery on the door !

Everything's Coming Up Daisies !

 Good Morning ! I hope all you Mom's had a wonderful Mother's Day !
 I saw this galvanized tiered tray on Instagram ..It came from Sam's club for $24.00..I have wanted the pottery barn version which is so much more expensive for a while so we ran to our Sam's club to see if they had them ..

 I filled mine with daisies , mason jars, cups and saucers with birds nest , a little chicken pitcher , birds and greenery ..

 I have so many ideas of how to fill it for the coming seasons !

 I also added some daisies to the vintage scale vignette on my kitchen counter..A yellow check tea towel and a hydrangea in a mason jar..

 Love all the daisies with the yellow in the kitchen !

May Cottage Stitching

 I finished stitching the May cottage from Country Cottage Needleworks last night ..I changed the aqua and pink colors to blues and red..

 I love this side table in my family room decorated with the monthly stitcheries...

 I used a piece of sheet metal on the back to attach to the magnet on the frame..You can see April, March and February ..

Puffy Flowers, Cross Stitch and Thrifting !

 I am still working away on the blue puffy flower blanket and thought I would give you a progress update :)

 It is getting there , I am probably 2/3 of the way finished!

 When we were out Flea Marketing this weekend we stopped in a Good Will store and my daughter found this barnwood frame on a shelf for $2.00 It had a gold velvet around the inside and it matches with the gold color in the Prairie Schooler  Rabbit Run ..Just have to get it mounted and popped in the frame and it is ready for next Springs decorating !

 I am working on the May cottage , from Country Cottage Needleworks ..Of course I have changed the colors :)

At the same Good Will I got this chicken plate for 49 cents ! It looks so cute on the shelf in the kitchen !
