Jolly July Week 3

Good morning!
These are our starts for Jolly July Week 3 !
First up Heart In Hand Wee Santa 2017 ..
 I am stitching it on 28 count evenweave that I Rit dyed .. then coffee tea dyed .

Next Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings .. I changed the colors to be more buffalo check

Two More Jolly July Ornaments

Good morning!
I finished  up these 2 ornaments that Chelsea stitched this morning as part of our Jolly July stitch a long with Kimberly at The Fat Quarter Shop! These are both from the Christmas Cheer leaflet from Heart In Hand ..

I need to stitch both of these .. they are really sweet! For the snowman I mounted it on sticky board with batting underneath ..and then mounted buffalo plaid to another piece of sticky board . Then glued those 2 together . I used a buffalo check ribbon with snowflakes for a hanger ..a bow of black buffalo check .. red berries and a wood snowflake

For Ho Ho Ho .. I mounted it on sticky board with batting .. mounted red plaid on sticky board .. added a bow of ribbon that looks like a knitted sweater ..flocked greenery and a Santa bell tied with red check ribbon 

Both were stitched with Classic Colorworks Floss in Licorice Red.. Pine Needles.. Sticks and Twigs .. Poblano Pepper.. Tangerine  and Bamboo on 28 count Tea / Coffee dyed Monaco

And More Jolly July Ornaments!!!!

Hello Friends! 

Here are 3 more ornaments all stitched and finished up from this weeks Jolly July stitch a long with Kimberly at The Fat Quarter Shop !

and here are all the ornaments that are finished so far! I just love having all of these pretties ready for Christmas!

This is Merry Holly Berries from With Thy needle and thread .. I used Classic Colorworks floss on a 28 count Rit dyed Monaco that was also coffee tea dyed .. the floss colors I used were Sticks and Twigs, Cherry Cobbler, Avocado, Bamboo, and English Ivy  

I finished it in a round .. added a thick ruffle around the ornament of torn homespun plaid .. a plaid bow and a gingham bow on top with a rusty bell finish it off ..It is adorable!

Next is Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings XVll I used Classic Colorworks Black Coffee ..Licorice Red and Toasted Marshmallow.. it was stitched on 28 count tea/ coffee dyed Monaco 

I mounted it on sticky board .. then mounted buffalo check fabric on sticky board for the backing .. Glued the two pieces together .. I added some greenery to the top .. 2 buffalo check bows with covered buttons in the centers and a Santa bell tied with bakers twine ..

Ho Ho Ho!

and last from Heart In Hand Needleart All is Calm .. I decided to stitch it for my chalkboard tree so I stitched it on black 28 count evenweave .. I used Gentle arts Chalk .. and Classic colorworks in Holly Jolly , Steamed Broccoli , cocoa bean and Licorice Red .. I changed up a lot of the design and I love it .. It only took me a couple hours to stitch .

To finish it I mounted it on sticky board with batting underneath ( I did that on all of  these ornaments) I used torn red gingham to make a tight ruffle around the ornament and added a buffalo check bow .. a covered button and some berry sprigs in white

More Jolly July Ornaments

Good morning!
Look at all these Jolly July cuties!
I finished up 2 of my ornaments and 1 of Chelsea's for this weeks finishes! These are all from our stitch a long with the Fat Quarter shop

Here are all the ornament finishes  so far ! :) I am so excited these are ready for Christmas decorating!

All 3 of these new ones are from Heart In Hand ..Jingle is from Christmas Cheer..
Free.. is called Free and the round one is Holly Jolly Holiday

I used Classic Colorworks Rainshower, Black Coffee, Steamed Broccoli , Bamboo, Licorice Red , Cocoa Bean and stitched it on 28 count light blue evenweave that was coffee tea dyed

Round finish tutorial ..

I finished it in a round shape with batting underneath and added a really thick ruffle around the outside edge .. a buffalo check ribbon greenery and a rusty bell topped it off .

This is Chelsea's ornament for Cash's tree.. this is tiny so I made the background sticky board bigger to make the ornament have a bigger impact but the stitching is still the star .. I mounted it on sticky board with batting underneath ..mounted red gingham checks to the bigger piece of sticky board .added a tied patriotic ribbon on the bottom ..a row of blue vintage trim from Lori Holt across the top and then around the entire ornament .. a red check ribbon is used for hanging ..

The floss colors I used for Jingle are Classic Colorworks  Holly Jolly, Licorice Red , Bamboo, Rainshower, Black Coffee .. I mounted the stitching on sticky board .. and added a red gingham fabric ruffle and then a black gingham fabric ruffle .. flocked greenery ..a bufflao check bow and an aqua check covered button
