August Stitching and a Giveaway ( The giveaway is closed)

Good Morning!

( The giveaway is closed )

It is time for a few August stitchy vignettes ..

In the family room , the August cottage from Country Cottage Needleworks, and Lizzie Kate's 4 seasons summer sitting in a thrift store basket..

The cottages are changed out monthly using a magnet on the frame and a small piece of sheet metal on the back of the stitching.

On the sofa table in the family room the August wordplay sits in a big basket

with a few chickens. I moved the August A Year In Chalk from Hands on Design in here and it sits on a thrifted cake plate with a few china saucers and a chicken.

In the foyer Home Sweet Home from  Little House Needleworks sunflower design is on display..

It is framed on a wood and chalkboard piece I bought at Michael's last year .I leaned it up against a white frame to give it more detail..

I was sent another Hands on Design .. A Year In Chalk August chart by mistake from beachcottage stitchers.com ..she told me to keep it and pass it on to another stitcher. This online store is great for any series of patterns because she gives you a discount and ships the series for free so it is one of my favorite places to order !

So leave me a comment and a way to  email you, for an extra entry like my Facebook page and tell me in your comment.. ..I will draw a winner on Friday 8/14/15 so you have time to get it and stitch it up this month if you want ..You will be hooked once you start these :)

 U.S only please ..

If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

In the garden August 2

Good morning!
Let's take a walk through some of my favorite garden photos this week ! ( All these are taken with my Iphone)
I do love my zinnias! I planted alot of new varieties this year and have so many different ones..I love these with the fluffy centers!

This was taken in the front yard ..with the sun going down behind a huge pot of petunias with Russian sage behind it..

In the front yard at sunrise ..hydrangeas and the Rose of Sharon..

coneflowers and hydrangeas..

Ronnie on the back sidewalk..Its lined with zinnias and coneflowers..

With the sun going down in the front garden..You can see some of the sunflowers poking their pretty heads over the fence..

hydrangeas..Incrediball, endless summer ,and Vanilla Strawberry

The sunflowers are so tall

zinnias ,coneflowers, and hydrangeas with sunflowers in the back.

We had a beautiful sunrise one morning ..love the Russian sage in this photo..

That same morning ..you can see our mailbox garden down in the front.

August Stitchy Chalkboard

 Good morning!
Here is August A Year In Chalk from Hands On Design! Isn't it adorable!

It is sitting on a stack of coverless books in a thrifted picnic basket ..A white chicken ( Homegoods) a chalk painted mason jar ... thrifted cow creamer, vintage scale and bowl..with some sunflowers of course ..

I am definitely not a camper .. but if I had a cute little camper like this maybe I would be :)

I added a piece of black gingham to the back of this picnic basket ..I just put 3 dots of hot glue in the back and stuck it on ..it will peel right off if I want to change it.

I got the pedestal frame at Michael's.. added a piece of black gingham to the back ( mounted on sticky needlework board) .. and I use a magnet on the gingham with a small piece of sheet metal on the back of the cross stitched piece ( also mounted on sticky needlework board). So it is very easy to change them out every month..and they take up very little room to store them..
