The Chalkboard and Candy Cane tree

 Good morning!
Today I am sharing the only tree in the kitchen ,, this skinny white pencil tree..It is decorated with chalkboard ornaments both stitched and chalk markered versions.
this year I finished stitching  these 4 Hands On Design chalkboard ornaments..
I still have 2 more to stitch out of the 9 ...
I put the tree on top of a vintage wood crate so it would be taller and make more of an impact...
it looks pretty with and without lights.. for photos the ornaments show up better without the lights.. I think because it is a white tree..
I love it sitting next to the chalk painted hutch all decorated with Christmas goodness! The topper is a red gingham star ...couldn't be more perfect! A few red and white berry picks surround the topper..

In the bottom of the crate I added a glitter putz type house and a Santa in red checks on top of the crate.. I cut a hole in a thrift store basket that I dry brushed with off white chalk paint and slip it on the tree before I stick it in the stand for a tree skirt..

Lots of bows in black checks and red checks fill out the decorations..Bottle brush candy canes ...candy cane ornaments, and red and white ornaments fill the tree...
If you would  like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)
