Happy Friday!
Remember my secret stitching project? Well... here it is all finished and on display!
So....
About a year and a half ago Cathy from Hands On Design asked me to create some chalkboards that she would chart for counted cross stitch( O.M.G. so exciting!) .. we did 7 designs and those were all in Just Cross Stitch Magazine..Cathy does an amazing job translating chalk to thread!
It still makes me so happy to see these being stitched and posted about on Social Media.. :)
Then this summer she asked if I would like to do more .. so...(woohoo! of course!!!)This new series is called Chalk for the Home ..this chart is Tulip House from Hands On Design... you get both the large and small pieces in one chart..There will be 4 designs starting with this one and you will be able to purchase them at Needlework shops..
the chalkboards..
From the Hands On Design facebook page...
Hands On Design added 3 new photos.
) & I have teamed up again to bring you a 4-part series.
Tulip House will release 1st at Nashville Market!
Each chart will feature a larger HOME design and a smaller seasonal design.

Above are Cathy's stitched and finished pieces.. They are stitched on 32 count slate linen..aren't they just gorgeous!
I stitched mine on 28 count black evenweave .. the frame I found at Hobby Lobby.
I hot glued magnets to the chicken wire and small pieces of sheet metal to the back of my piece , so I can change it out with the seasons..I added a little nail to the wood at the top to hang the small Spring piece from so that's easy to change out too.. I made a bow of 3 different black and white ribbons and fabric and that is what is hung from the nail. I added a few sprigs of spring flowers to the bow..The frame came with the chalkboard and chicken wire in it. It worked out perfectly!
I hung it in my kitchen so I can see it all the time.. I hope all my stitchy friends love these and can't wait to stitch them! They are even prettier in person! One more week and they make their debut at the Nashville market and then you will be able to get them and stitch them up! I know you will love displaying them in your home!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

ReplyDeleteDear Priscilla, you are always so very busy. I'm not a needleworker anymore, my hands just won't do it. But, I love your style and the coordination between the designs and your decor. Grins, yes, we are all waiting for Spring. Thanks, Sandi
