Good Morning ! Hope you had a great weekend !
Yesterday my daughter and I decided to make more book page wreaths , this time for spring ! If you missed them we made book page tree toppers and wreaths ..Lots of them ! If you need instructions on how to make the book page wreath they are here ..We use cardboard for the base of ours...( its free if you have an old box :)
So we made the wreath , and after we got two layers plus filled in any empty spots , we cut a circle of cardboard and glued it to the middle to layer our flowers on.
I got this burlap at Michaels that is laminated so its stiffer and doesn't ravel.. we just cut flower shapes and made these little rolled roses out of strips of paper .. Just cut your book page into about 3 strips longways, crinkle and fold it , then start rolling tightly ..hot gluing as you go..
I used 4 strips to make this size rose. Then glue the book page rose to the cut out flower burlap shape , and glue to the cuircle of cardboard.
My daughter decided she wanted coffee filters behind her burlap, these are unbleached coffee filters, and we just crunkled up the bottom stapled it and glued the burlap and paper rose to the top.
Aren't they just fabulous and almost FREE !
Mine is hanging in the dining room window from a piece of burlap, hers is going on her bedroom wall..
Last night I started the process of changing over from winter to spring decorations....Even though more snow is expected today , I am just ready for a change! Hope to be back later this week to show you some spring changes !
Thanks so much for stopping by !

I love this and the added rossettes are stunning. Thanks tons for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI love your wreath and the rosettes make it unique from any I've seen - beautiful! Julia
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Priscilla! Love the coffee filters and burlap touches in the middle. Old books are just so much fun to create with, aren't they? Well done! Catherine
ReplyDeleteHow clever to make roses out of the paper pages also! I made a tree topper for my Christmas tree this past year and it came out okay. You really have to get the hang of rolling the paper so it all looks even! Yours are beautiful! Visiting from Make It Pretty Monday
ReplyDeletePriscilla, I have made a few of these, but the rolled flowers in the middle is a cute addition. Love them! I still like mine. I always wonder when we'll tire of them and they'll go in the trash. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I made one of these last year, minus the paper roses, but am definitely in the mood to make another one (or ten....lol). Really like the addition of the coffee filters and the paper roses. These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteReally nice paper wreath. Love the paper rose centerpiece - a very nice variation!
ReplyDeleteThis beautiful wreath will be one of our features this week for Twirl and Take a bow. I hope you'll bring another one of your wonderful projects over and link up on Tuesday with us! ~Tammy
ReplyDeleteGoodness! It's beautiful! Thank you for sharing. You will be one of the features tomorrow at the Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House. Hope to see your prettiness again at the bash! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Saw this on The Dedicated House. Pinning!
ReplyDeleteOh, where were you when I owned a bookstore? LOVE this! I might need one for my bookshelf corner at home anyway. Pinning now! (stopping over from the Brag About It hop)
