Here is our family room decorated for Christmas.. On our mantel I used 3 glitter houses a couple snowy trees , and some icy branches tucked in there. I made the merry little Christmas sign after seeing them all over the internet last year. I cut the letters out with my cricut and traced around them and handpainted the letters. All the stocking I made , they are all counted cross stitch except for the 2nd from left . Its crewel embroidery. When we had the surround built for the fireplace my husband had the builder add little rings to the side to hold the stockings. :) I added a flocked garland over the ribbon holding the stockings.
The scrapbook tree is on the left and the snowman tree on the right. My stepmother made all the beutiful Christmas quilts for my kids a few years ago and we always put them out in the family room.
The other snowman tree, subway art and a wooden santa from a craft show. The cross stitch in front I made a long time ago . Its a stoney creek design and I think it was the first cross stitch I did for Christmas.
The top of the entertaiment center ..I have alot of dries hydrangias, and the lizzie kate abc Christmas. Theres also a dept. 56 Santa up there.
The scrapbook tree. with a no sew ruffle tree skirt I made from muslin last year .. Cheap and cute !
All the ornaments are small wallet size photos or the ornaments the kids made in school with their pictures. This tree rotates so theres lots of ornaments!
Theres also red decomesh , and pola dot ribbon.some of the cute patriotic ornaments .. Love this tree.
The snowman tree.. only snowmen ornaments.. snowflake garlands .. I used alot of blue and silver pics for the topper.. Love the way it looks this year !
Side table with some dept. 56 snowmen , fitz and floyd cookie jar and a little tree in a tin.One of our Jack Russells, Reagan..Hope you all have a wonderful week ! Thanks as always for your visits and comments !

Wow....very festive!!!! You will be so proud of me. We did out tree last night. Today I did my little kitchen tree, and decorated for Christmas. I didn't take it all out. I am going to stop now, with the exception of maybe some lighted garlands.

I love it!!! Your living room is really decked out, and it looks great! The scrapbook tree is a good idea, and I love all the cute stocking hung on the fireplace in a row. I bet when all the lights are off except the trees you have the most beautiful glow from them!

What a cozy looking living room, Priscilla--and those stockings amaze me!! That is a ton of stitching in each one--and they are finished so professionally... I'm scared to try a stocking shape--maybe I'll push myself to do one in 2013 (or maybe not!)...
ReplyDeleteLovely and festive! Your stockings are amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all the stockings you made! I made one for my little girl like that but my own is a sexy fishnet stocking complete with a lace garter. I'm envious as we are stupidly being refloored next week and I can't do my tree or my mantel or anything until the room is all put back...yours looks super cozy!
ReplyDeleteYour family room is all decked out for the holidays! Love all the needlepoint stockings. Thanx for coming to the mantle party!
ReplyDeletePriscilla, your family room looks lovely and ready for Christmas. Love the collected items on the mantle, too. It looks like a happy room.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas,
