Flower blanket

Here is my start on the flower granny square blanket ..I am using a pale aqua for the background, black for the center of the flower and for the petals I am going to use whatever yarn I have so there will be alot of colors. Love the way it looks so far !Here is the blog where I saw the blanket and had to make one of my own !http://scottys-place.blogspot.com/

So close to being finished with this Lizzie Kate..
Hope you all have a great weekend ! Creative Friday Button

  1. That Lizzie*Kate looks great! You're SO CLOSE to being done! I put mine away for the season last Fall (I am such a seasonal stitcher, lol!), but I am dying to work on it again. Maybe I will.... :-)

  2. Oh yes...I like the aqua background! Black would be pretty as a join and really make the flowers pop. Aren't they fun?!

  4. Pammy is invoking a riot of flowers! These are quite the popular item! I LOVE your colors! Aqua with black and all those gorgeous hues...yummmmmmmmy! I have only a few rows left on my red, white, blues and beiges bobble blanket...I think this has been the longest project I've ever procrastinated! LOL I'm planning to keep it myself and use it as a photo prop for photos I take of babies - so I guess I didn't feel the push to complete it. Can't wait to see this blanket of yours upon completion! I know I'm going to drool and want one too. BTW, I am always AMAZED at how everything you pin on Pinterest is something I want too! We have VERY common likes. Hugs, Annette

  5. Love your colors so far. The aqua is fabulous as the background and join in the same color if you have enough. I think black as a join would detract and look less finished then joining in the same color as your background.

  7. Keeping the centre and background colours consistent is a very effective way to unify your squares. It should look like a field of wild flowers after you're done, depending on the variety available in your stash :)

Could you provide a link to the pattern, please?

    Thanks in advance!
