Two More Quilt as You Go String Quilts

Good morning!
There are 2 more quilts for the animals to wallow on ! :)
First of all the Christmas quilt I made with Walmart fat quarters ..They are 6-1/2 inch squares .. 9 squares wide and 13 squares long ..I added a white jelly roll to this quilt that I bought at Joanne fabrics ..I had this all sewn before Christmas but it needed backing and binding and I just couldn't fit that in ..so it got finished this weekend.

The second quilt is Farm Fresh Fabric from Moda .. these are  7-1/2 inch squares and we used the 8 inch precut batting squares from Fat Quarter Shop .. I used 2 jelly rolls and added red check and black check fabric cut in 2-1/2 inch strips

8 squares across and 11 squares down .. I sewed the jelly roll pieces together for a scrappy binding and used red checks for the back of the quilt ..don't you just love those fabrics ! Black , red , aqua ..with chickens and cows!

Can you tell the animals love them ? :)  I still have one more that is all finished except the binding .. just 4 inch squares of really pretty springy fabrics .. and Chelsea has a string quilt that just needs backing and binding ..
Thanks so much for your visit!

this is the video we watched to make the quilts .. they also have a book on how to make these ..
this weeks Floss Tube video ..

  2. Your quilts are gorgeous. I love how you coordinate colors so well. You have a real talent for combining fabrics. Who knew Wally World fabric could look so cute? I quilt but I have not tried a string quilt or quilt as you go. I would definitely order the precut batting...what a time saver! These are going on my 'never-ending' project list! LOL! Have a great day!

  3. Absolutely love your quilts! And so do Ronnie and Calvin! I want to try a quilt as you go quilt, where do you buy your fabric? Online or at a store?
