A Chicken Blanket

 Good morning! I have been crocheting this blanket for Chelsea's baby for months! It was time to finish it since we had a 4th of July surprise yesterday! I used this Pattern for the blanket
 I got up this morning and finished the border and crocheted a chicken ..

 I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby .. I just made circles for the chicken body and head.. ....crocheted eyes right onto the head .. also the beak and feet were crocheted right on.. I blanket stitched the whole chicken to the blanket and added a couple rows of single crochet for the border..
and here he is .. litlle Cash Andrew.. 8 pounds 7 ounces..born on the 4th of July  Mom and baby are great!

    Congratulations Grandma! Chelsea doesn’t look like she just went through heck and back. LOL! She sure looks happy. So happy for you all. Just went to a 5 year old’s 4th of July B’day party yesterday! He is so excited about having his B’day on that day. Love that cute blanket!

    Congrats on your beautiful grandson! I love the blanket though the chicken may be beyond my skills. What color is the yarn? It is very pretty DD expecting and will not be finding out gender so this would be perfect! I don't like the "baby" colors.Thank you!
