We picked strawberries and made freezer jam!
All together we made 48 containers of strawberry freezer jam that Chelsea and I split ..
we use this Sure Jell pectin and the directions inside for freezer jam..
you wash and remove the stems from the berries.. then smash with a potato masher ..
mix the berries with sugar
Then cook the pectin as directed .. and mix with berries .. then you add to your containers and it stays good in the freezer for a year .. If it lasts that long! :)If you would like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

Priscilla & Chelsea, you jam looks delicious. I've never made freezer jam, and will give it a try. Thanks for sharing. Kim
ReplyDeleteLooks so delicious! I'm anxious for our strawberries to be ready, in a few weeks. Thanks for sharing your recipe.
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteI just mentioned to my husband that we must go pick strawberries. Freezer jam is the best-it tastes so fresh and the color is to beautiful. Now to make room in my freezer...
ReplyDeleteOh how I miss Thompson's! They have always had THE best strawberries! I used to take the kids there every year. The berries were usually ready right around my birthday (June 10) every year!
ReplyDeleteYour jam looks great! Wonder if we get pectin here in Holland? I haven't made jam in years and your post makes me want to do it again! Maybe after our camping trip. I might get lucky and find pectin in Germany. They have everything there!
