Stitchmaynia week 1 2018

 Good morning!
Stitchmaynia week 1 was a success! My first 4 projects were started in California! A Bee line from Country Cottage Needleworks was my first start on May 1 .. on Coronado Island ..
My second start for #witchywednesdayxs was Spirits and Spells from With Thy Needle and Thread..
The Milk and Cream company from Plum street Samplers was Day 3 ..I 6think when I pick this one back up I am going to rip out the stitches and do my way of stitching the outline then filling in so it isn't striped..
airplane stitching from San Diego to Chicago  was Boo and Baaa from With Thy Needle and Thread ..#fallfridaystitching
#starsnstripessaturday ..Birds of a Feather Liberty
Prairie Schooler Santa Rides for #santasundayxs
and #7 Welcome Spring from With Thy Needle and Thread .. Hopefully I will keep this up each week so you can see what I am starting!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
If you would  like to see what I am up to everyday join me on Instagram and my Facebook page ! I do post on both almost everyday ..Links to my Facebook page , Instagram and Pinterest are in the sidebar .. Hope to see you there ! :)

  1. Wow! You put me to shame! With the new-found time that I have on retirement I mean to set aside time to stitch. It hasn't happened yet, but I AM finishing up a knitting project.

  2. What fun starts you have made for week 1 of Maynia! I would love to hear your stitching method for a less stripey look. Perhaps you will do a blog post about it for those of us who haven't ventured into the Floss Tube arena.

  3. Hi Priscilla! I've been following you on Instagram (I'm 7orangecat) and wondered if you could recommend a beginner's counted cross stitch book. I live in the back of beyond, and there isn't a class I can take or anyone I know to ask. I used to embroider as a kid and I'd love to be able to do counted cross stitch but I haven't a clue where to even begin. Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Thank you!

  6. What are your other days of the week. I know Santa Sunday, witchy Wednesday, fall Friday, and Stars & Stripes Saturday. Are there specific days for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday?

  7. In spite of traveling, you made wonderful progress on your many starts, Priscilla! Don't you love the SD area? We're heading out there in a few weeks to visit our oldest son and daughter-in-law--can't wait :) Unlike you, though, I have trouble stitching on planes :(
